Very curious to see how it does in Japan. Could easily go either way there.

This is quite big for such an old title. It should clear at least 1 million mark worldwide on Switch 2
As a Nintendo fan, it was a symbolic moment getting the original FF7 on Switch. The same can be said about this release; getting newer FF games on a Nintendo console.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Nope. The remaster of the original isn't either. Epic paid for exclusivity and the game is selling under expectations. Could kill the franchise. |
Epic didn’t pay for Exclusivity. Epic published both games, and covered the entire developmental costs. The game might literally not exist without them. Microsoft had exclusive publishing rights for a decade and would not greenlight AWII.

Fair, but even still, they are missing out on sales. I mean Sony published games are on Steam. More platforms = more sales. I don't think Epic will finance round 3 for AW, which is a shame. I hear it is a good series.
WOW Final Fantasy VII finally got remade and on a Nintendo platform!!!!
This is what my X feed looks like, feels like this game just launched for the first time

A strong indicator for the US and Japan. Not a surprise but shocking Xbox couldn't muster even a percent of sales. Of course sales there will be more digitally driven but still... Maybe no stores stocked the physical Xbox edition.
Edit: Yeah Xbox is a digital only release. Even with Xbox's digital leaning a bit of a surprise
Also curious whether the game got a boost on Playstation (digitally)

Oh wow I didn't realize that.
