Most times, Nintendo seems to understand the importance of launching new hardware with a killer app 1st party title. Often these games are among the most acclaimed and bestselling titles for the duration of the hardware's lifecycle. Through the decades Nintendo has launched some groundbreaking titles day one alongside their new hardware. Sometimes these games were packed in to boot. But which do you think is the greatest Nintendo launch title?
Some highlights include Super Mario Bros. on the NES in the US. Tetris on the Gameboy. Super Mario World on the SNES. Super Mario 64 on the N64. The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess and Wii Sports on the Wii. The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild on the Switch and most recently Mario Kart World on the Switch 2.
