LMFAO to play split screen both players will need a unique Microsoft/PS Plus account, holy shit what a travesty

Why does it even need a MS account to play the game, as long as your logged in on PlayStation or Steam?

Cause of cross progression, you can then continue playing it on PC, xbox cloud or wherever you want except Switch 2.

This has to be an error in translation, no? Offline co-op included? If so, that would be a terrible blow to this game. I have so many fond memories of messing around in games like CoD and Halo with my cousins during Christmas parties. We wouldn’t have those memories if the feature was locked behind an $80USD annual paywall (no way my parents would have been paying for that lol). Darn thats sad! :( Hope the higher ups at Microsoft have a change of heart.

That darn brave new gaming world again. So we sacrifice couch coop how it should be (your friend comes over and you can play together because you bought the system, two controllers and the game) for the convenience of cross progression. Still, they should allow you to opt out of that and play couch coop offline with a guest profile if you do not care for cross progression.

Yeah well f*** that then :p

Seriously does a Single player game need all this crap for local co-op ?
What is wrong with how things where done in the past?

Well it should be optional. Its like an offline game forcing online for cloud saves lol. Maybe I don't want to cross progression *sigh*

Yeah what makes it even worse was that Halo was one of the all time iconic splitscreen games; millions of us spent so much time playing the older games on the couch together in the 6th and 7th gens.

Horrible move.

You don't need PS+ for splitscreen they just screwed up the messaging. Ofc you still need a mandatory MS account for splitscreen players though lol.

No paid PS Plus requirement is a relief, but requiring separate MS accounts is still really, really stupid.

Lmao what a massive blunder lol. Okay that's my main concern resolved. I'll be picking it up. Want to encourage MS with the multiplatform releases

The MS account thing is a nuisance but nothing truly prohibitive, I presume they just link you to an account set up if you don't have
