Cool, are you playing the digital PS4/PS5 version?

I got it for free as Sony honored my 2014 purchase on PS3 so it carried over and I'm so freaking happy I have a platinum trophy for it now, even as nearly all trophies are to just beat the game.

Yes I'm playing the digital PS5 edition.  I'm a bit of a completionist so this may become like a 100 hour journey for me.  I'm just so impressed with te presentation.  That they pulled this off on a PSOne is really something.  I hope they do a remaster or remake but the original clearly stands on its own.

Well to me it's the best game ever made, so I definitely agree lol.

It should't take more than 70 hours to do everything, unless you want to max out character levels, that are not even close to being necessary but on it's own should take more than 100 hours as they max at 60 and will take ages to get all chars there. Which I don't recommend.

120 million.

Looks like the majority of voters still feel like 117 million is still not likely for the PS5. I wonder if this has changed.

I have shifted a bit, the weakness of Switch 2 in Europe means PS5 has a golden opportunity to outsell PS4, Switch 2 is already down to 200k monthly sales in Europe while PS5 is selling over 600k there even during weak months like October. That means in the second biggest console market, PS5 has no competition the coming years with Xbox dead and Switch 2 being a weeb console that isn't mainstream in Europe.

Recent events makes this one more interesting.

Previously, I was of the opinion that PS5 was going to outsell PS4 easily and by a sizeable margin, but with the impact the recent price hike, it's no longer a slam dunk.

I still think it will make it in the end; it's 25.26 million more consoles sold, but it could be a close race.

I mean PS5 should still come out on top, because the PS6 will be even more expensive. Sony should continue producing PS5's as their "budget" option otherwise their hardware sales might be catastrophic (it's difficult to say how mainstream gamers will react to a $800+ PS6. I'd guess the vast majority would remain on PS4/PS5 with some switching to used PC's).

One thing that justifies the end of PS5's production is if Sony makes a "Vita TV" style of the PS6 handheld and it doesn't cost much more to manufacture than a PS5DE.

Nope.

With prices keep going up, and who knows what tariffs shitface cheeto turkey vagina neck will do next. By the end of this gen, maybe PS5 basic costs 800 bucks. So I'm going to say no. The US is not the only market, sure, but it's the largest.

Only $800? Silly robot.
