It'll be really hard to gauge this game and trust reviews to be fair. At the very least though, this game will be a photography simulator.

In the 80s sounds about right.

I’d say high 80s, which would still be an improvement over its predecessor.

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind

From what I've read, early impressions don't view the game as much more than an incremental improvement over Ghost of Tsushima. Sucker Punch doesn't have a history of scoring much higher than mid-80s... so, I'm leaning toward mid-to-high 80s. It'll probably be good fun, especially for those who never played Tsushima, but I'm not getting my hopes super high.

I'm going to go with 84 due to similar issues as the first game and not enough innovation but overall a very solid game, but it definitely has a very good chance of being higher too, depending on how well Sucker Punch has nailed it. I don't see it going much higher than low 90s though. Personally I don't think I quite care where it ends up though, as simply having more of largely the same would already be a treat. Of course I hope they do improve on GoT, significantly even.

85-90

I'm going to guess low to mid 80s - 82 to 86. I am currently playing Ghost of Tsushima for the first time and am enjoying it more than I did Spider-Man Remastered, but less than God of War 2018 and Ragnarok.

While everyone makes great points, I think we might be underestimating this. It may be the same but that's a good baseline and the improvements are extremely obvious. The visuals are also a done deal, there will be no stability or performance issues with this one. I think it also has the favour of releasing at a time when a sea of games just released and none of them set reviewers arses on fire so a quality game coming along will feel more praise worthy. Even though I'm staying with 89 I think we could see the highest score of the year so far at like 94 9r something. Perhaps it's wishful thinking.

Honestly I think it's going to come down to the quality of the story and the quality of the side activities, and perhaps what evolution the combat has with weapons replacing stances. I think if they nail these 3 the game will score really well. If they don't, I think numbers will drop.

But either way, Sony and Sucker Punch must be confident in good scores to have the embargo so soon before launch.

But I think either way I'll get the game next year and I am confident I'll enjoy it immensely.
