You could buy VGChartz with that.

I don't need a financial advisor to tell me that wouldn't be wise.

Giant Star Trek coin?! I want!!

Unfortunately, no. Just normal sized (in the right bottom corner of the photo).

The big version is the cover of the "certificate of authenticity".

I always wanted to with rare curreny but just never got started past a few coins. I had the dinominations of the Irish pound before the euro took over from specific dates like my birth year but I've no idea where they are and even if I found them I can't imagine expanding them. I'd say it would be beyond my means as a hobby.

I had complete pre-Euro sets of many European currencies (West-German D-Marks/Pfennige, East-German Marks/Pfennige, French Francs/Centimes, Spanish Pesetas, Italian Lira, UK Pounds/Shillings/Sixpence/Pennies, Austrian Schillinge/Groschen, Swiss Franken, Netherland Gulden/, Greek Drachmen, Swedish Kronen, Czech Kronen...) from vacations, but I can only find a few dozens of single coins... and an unopened Euro-Starter-Set from 2002:

Nice. Some really old coins there too, I'd love to be able to see the path one of these coins took through people and places and how often they came back around to the same people in the space of decades it was going.

This was the silver portion of the stack.

edit: Had to be put on the floor.  I was scared to break the dining room table.  About 190 pounds there.

Damn that looks nice.

The order I placed on the 9th should ship out on the 18th. I'll update when they arrive. Can't wait to see what bars they picked out to ship me.

I'm feeling quite bullish on silver at the moment and couldn't resist ordering some of these today.

Thanks.  The biggest mistake I made last time was not taking a group photo of everything together the last time I photographed.  I'm glad I did this time.  There's nothing like being able to hold it, play with it, roll around in it, but once it's put back into bank storage I would usually just have to imagine what I had, or go into my accounts to see what I've purchased.  But with the new photos, at least I can stare it occasionally.

No. I usually put all my extra money in an index fund. I do however use my law degree to commit tax "deferments"

I think that metals is a poor investment and I was going to buy gold but the recent news about these startups that are making gold in reactors seems like it could possibly work out. If this were so, then i'd be wise to stick to stocks since gold has historically been the best investment and now it's future as an investment looks doubtful.
