I am very fortunate enough that my love for video games has only gotten stronger and stronger with each new generation, since I started on the N64. The thought of having burn out or becoming bored with video games just isn't fathomable to me, keep in mind, I do have other hobbies and a partner that shares the same exact hobbies as me. Good luck to you, sir or madame.

Divinity (Heroes of Rivellon) is one of our favorite fantasy universes ever. One thing that is important to us is lore, and how much you can speculate about it, and Divinity is so great for that, to us anyway. We are about to start another fantasy co op rpg called Outward, which I have played before and Im a huge fan of.

Watch let's plays

Okay. This comment wins. This is the MVP of this thread. Thank you so much. Watching someone else have fun with a game tricks you into thinking you are having fun, even if you can't get a session going it still feels like you have played.

I'm glad to be of help. I started watching let's plays in the 2010s, usually they are games that I'm too lazy or tired to play myself, or horror games because I hate playing horror myself.

My Etsy store

My Ebay store

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

Divinitys lore is pretty unique and cool that it has a really whimsical comic fantasy like tone, esspecially OS1 anyway. Os2 kind made it more grounded but indeed the world of those games is so cool. Best of luck with Outward.

Yeah I've watched let's plays in that same way before but watching people play Death Stranding 2 now is like living through the streamer and getting to experience the game in some small way again. I probably knew before ya commented but I won't soon forget that you don't have to be playing games to enjoy games.

Finally. Shinobi Art of Vengeance. Managed nearly an hour. Game is perfectly simple but perfectly engaging and impactful at its core.

GT7 got me back for over an hour yesterday. I just booted it up to check out the new cars, ended up doing the weekly races since there was only 3 hours left before they would change again. That little deadline helped lol.

I did 3 races on TV, then 3 in VR. My TV is still too good, still looks much better on TV tbh. Also looks faster on TV due to bumper cam and 'stretch' view cramming higher fov into a narrower view screen. But in VR you sit in the car which is so much better and HDR with night racing has much bigger impact in the VR headset since the bright lights fill 110 degrees of your fov. Racing into the dark on Trial Mountain in VR is awesome.

Hence still looking forward to better consoles and headsets. 2K per eye is not enough, DVD quality at 110 degrees fov. Plus the 120 fps re-projection mode still has some issues. It's much better on Pro than on base PS5 (standard 60 to 120 fps reprojection) but no PSSR yet in GT7. No Man's Sky got upgraded with PSSR, haven't check it out yet.

Anyway good old racing got me back. Gonna check out NMS tonight, and/or race some more.

Power Wash8ng Simulator is a cure. Only played this game for a few minutes before but have 5 hours in it now. It's just so simple yet satisfying and no task feels overwhelming. It's a perfect bridge into getting games going again, can't recommend it enough for this purpose and I bet it makes a fantastic podcast game too. Downloading Farming Simulator 22 also, I think I'll finally be able to understand the appeal if those games right now even though they may be too gargantuan a task to commit to.

Somebody voted Tetris is a 1/10?? That’s crazy. I used to be addicted to the iOS App Store Tetris game back in 2018/2019.
