Forums - Gaming - 20 Exclusives for the 360 this year - Read on (and see why you need a 360)

There are a few games on there I'm really interested in. The only one I completely despise is Blue Dragon, as it is a shameless copy of Dragon Quest and Pokemon combined. Still, out of the 5 people I know with 360s all of them have broken at least once. I refuse to ever pay money for something that's that unreliable. Maybe someday when the red rings of death are gone, but till then I'll stick with my Wii and maybe get a PS3. I can mooch off my friends for 360 games.

M$ has been able to capture some pretty nice games with while they have continued to bleed money.

Spoils of war I suppose, at least for the gamer. Problem is, I despise the lack of quality. Period.

Nothing I have seen has interested me enough to personally take the gamble of getting yet another piece of folderol. Thing is, if the original Xbox is any precursor, most of the games I want that are going to be Xbox 360 exclusive-- will be ported for PC play at a later date.

As far as I'm concerned, there is no real reason for me to purchase a 360 if that turns out to be true. I could be convinced to buy on if the quality highly improves. More over is Shenmue III drops, I'll buy one on the spot.

Very nice list, but I'll jump on the bandwagon and agree that PC games like C&C3 shouldn't be considered exclusives. Left 4 Dead is going to rock! But I'm getting it for PC.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

That counts out Oblivion, C&C3, Bioshock, Tweo Worlds and Earth Defense Force. So we are down to 15...

im interested in Eternal Sonata, Overlord, and bioshock, but thats about it. Way more PS3 games coming that I want. R&C, Uncharted, Lair, Heavenly Sword, Warhawk(OMG this is good!!!), LBP, Folklore, White Knight Story, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, HSG:5 to name several.

Indeed, I am very excited by this game and would love to see it on the PS3.  I face the choice of either buying a 360 or upgrading my PC.  Since I do other things with my PC that would benefit from a dual-core CPU, I'm leaning towards a CPU/Motherboard/RAM/GPU upgrade that shouldn't cost much more than a 360 Elite (which if I bought a 360, I'd get).  I think it'd be around $600 total, compared to at least $530 just to play a 360 Elite online for that first year (and yes, I'd be playing Left 4 Dead online, at least).

But the main thing is I'm pretty sure my PC won't break like the 360 keeps doing (really don't understand why they didn't fix that for the Elite), as others have said.

I also look forward to Bioshock and some others on the PC.  I would get Shivering Isles but I'm already invested in Oblivion on my PS3 so I'll just hope the expansion goes there or I'll restart on my PC at some point.  Oh, Lost Planet, which I'm not sure you listed but is a decently rated game, will also be on the PC.

I also think you over-rated Halo 3's sales considering the first 2 combined barely sold more than you are predicting, but you are entitled to your opinion.

To not be a total jerk, though, I would like to play Mass Effect and Too Human if they pan out.  To me, those and Halo 3 are the best games to look forward to right now for 360 owners.

Earth Defense Force is coming to PC??

Also there's 6 PC games in that list:

C&C 3, Two Worlds, Bioshock, Left 4 Dead, Overlord and Shivering Isles.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

I never realized how much LESS interested I am in the X360 lineup than the PS3 lineup until these two threads came out. PS3 just seems to have some more interesting traditional action/adventure/platforming type games, as well as LittleBigPlanet, which IMO trumps everything on the slate for 360. I'm still more likely to get a 360, thanks to the lower, and likely faster-falling price, but it seems too focused on a few types of gameplay that I've never gotten into, and probably never will. To each his own, however. I can't deny this is a strong lineup for a certain type of fan, at least judging by the collective hype I'm hearing for the top 5-8 titles in this lineup.

I gotta say, I have a lot of appreciation for the 360 and its games line up. Not to much for what's already been released. (FPS are getting dull). A few games really catch my eye, Bioshock, and Overlord mainly. A few others are making me look at it too but I can resist them for the most part. Bioshock because I am a System Shock 2 fan, Overlord because I am a Dungeon Keeper 2 fan. Oh and Castlevania and Banjo Threeie have no business being on the 360 console. Those are born Nintendo titles robbed from its glory... Banjo, Castlevania your DEAD TO ME!!!

 That's exactly what I'm doing.

Currently, my computer can't play new games like Supreme Commander...it's just not good enough.  And on games like Counter Strike, even with settings on medium, I get framerates no higher than 50.

I'm probably going to buy a whole new computer this summer, so I can give my old one to my family.  I'll get a dual core, good GPU, and at least 2 gigs of ram (shouldn't need anymore, right?).  I'm probably going to spend $600-$700...not counting a 20-22 inch ws lcd monitor...that probably won't be more than $225.

So yeah...I could even get a PS3 or 360 with that money...but yeah, PC's just different.
