Forums - Gaming - Battlefield 6 out now on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC

Yeah Battlefield 3 and later Battlefield 1 looked insane for their time, two of the most impressive games of the 7th/8th generations for me, visually anyway.

I guess it's harder to wow people now that we're all already used to games looking very realistic and detailed. That said, I did find Delta Force's single player component to be very impressive recently, in a similar vein:

Gameplay and layout are way more important to BF6 than visuals and mechanics. Great visuals and poor gameplay isn't going to fix past problems, The more they can deliver by launch the better though, obviously, but they need to get it right.

Looks really good as of now. We'll see how it actually pans out at launch, but skipping PS5 for PS6 just might become a much harder task then it seems right now.

EA/Dice:

Multiplayer isn't my thing personally, but for those who are into it, this is what's on offer.

Personally I am most interested in the campaign, though admittedly the series (at least that I have played) doesn't have the strongest track record with solo offerings.

With the COD this year likely to be another rushed crap one like MWIII this is Battlefield's best opportunity for a huge hit since 2016. With the next Battlefield probably not coming out till 2030 at the earliest a lot is riding on this one after how 2042 went.

It looks pretty good. The stuff that makes a great Battlefield game seem to be present in this. Hopefully the campaign is solid. My all time favorite battlefield in Bad Company 2. I still don't understand why EA hasn't capitalized on making a Bad Campany 3.

That actually looks promising. Battlefield 2, 3, and 4 are the only games except TF2 and Vermintide II that I ever played at any length online. I'll be keeping it on my radar, BF4 was amazing. I hope Caspian Border comes back, it's the best map of any multiplayer game I ever played.

Man that takes me back; Infinite Warfare's reveal becoming the most disliked video on Youtube while BF1 raked in the likes.

Competition's a good thing, so hopefully BF6 delivers and is a hit.

I was one of the people who didn't care at all about the controversy but still disliked the video just to jump on the bandwagon for fun.
