For those that are planning to pick up this game, which view will you be playing this in?

I'm such an OG player so I will definitely play in 3rd person view.

Do you think more games should incorporate both 1st & 3rd person view in their games or are you fine with games just being in one type of view?

Of course it depends on the type of game and only if it makes sense to. I don't think every game can benefit having both views and I know it will require more time and budget for devs to incorporate, but having more options can attract more buyers.  My brother gets nauseous playing FPS but he's been enjoying CoD BO6 Zombie mode because it has that feature, that was the only reason why he bought the game.

Third person for sure! The only games I play in first person are boomer shooters every now and then.

Third, unless it feels janky like in the Fallout games, but it should be fine given Capcom's recent history with the RE series.

First person was certainly done very well in Biohazard and Village, but after playing the remakes of 2, 3, and 4, I've come to the conclusion that I MUCH prefer third person for this franchise.

Playing in third person in Village was very weird, but I know it was due to the game being made from the ground up for first person. So yeah, the game has to be made with both camera controls in mind from the start, which thankfully Capcom is doing with Requiem. There is certainly the case for first-person being more immersive (which Capcom has even said as much for Requiem) but the admission that they're making third person to feel just as enjoyable as the trilogy of remakes is all I need to hear!

Not to mention, since this is a proper return to Raccoon City, playing in third person just adds to the nostalgia factor lol

Third Person on Playstation and PC

First Person on Xbox.

First person in 7 was just perfect, so I will go with that, as it seems to be the default.

While I greatly prefer third-person to first-person in general, I think Resident Evil 7 and 8 nailed the first-person perspective. So I will go with that, at least at first.

It recommends one over the other so which ever it recommends and if that means changing throughout the game I'll do that. I would prefer third person but if first person is what they designed for I'll just have to go first person.
