Playing Mario Kart Wii with everyone back in the day was definitely a highlight for many of us, myself included. We tried to recapture that magic with MK8, but it just didn't take off after a few races.

This time around, it's going to be even tougher. We have fewer people, so filling those 24 spots will be a challenge. Plus, with all our different time zones, getting everyone together will be a real hurdle.

We can see how it was done in the past, note that with the Wii we even had specific regional tournaments:

Well, going by the response so far, it doesn't seem a lot of people are interested in this. Let's see if that changes around at launch.

Either way, remember I was pretty much an average kart driver back then.

I’ll keep an eye on this. I would like to join, but hard to say if I can. Depends on timing.

I have finally completed all the Grand Prixes, but I'm still working on getting first place in every single race! I'm still sticking to the basics, mostly just drifting, haven't really gotten into tricks yet. It's wild to see the kind of parkour some players are pulling off, there's definitely a lot of possible shortcuts to learn!

How's your Karting progress coming along? Have you finished the Knockout tour? Did you unlock all the content?

And the real question is, are you ready to challenge the best racers on these forums?

Oh, haven't seen this thread before. I have very little time on my hands and I'm probably pretty bad, but I would still try to participate. =D

As for my progress, I finished all GPs and Knockout-Tours at 150cc, although not all of them with three stars. I tried a little online racing but apart from one single victory I tend to land somewhere in the middle. ^^

I wouldnt mind to be part of this.

Havent done knock out tour yet but I've done all of the GP races including 150cc at Gold with 3 stars (except for 1 cup which I plan to re-do again soon).
