Xbox Live was rebranded into Game Pass even for the simpler subscription. PlayStation Plus merged its PS Now service into a higher tier of its PlayStation Plus service.

Both services have their good qualities, and flaws. And price hikes have occurred the last several years as well.

For those who have used both, which do you prefer and why? You can consider any of the tiers.

Between the two which I had, I prefer GamePass.

At least from what I know GP has a bigger list of games.

Although I dont sub to any of them anymore due to the number of games I own across all platforms.

PS Plus has a bigger list of games.

True, PS Plus Essential gives you Monthly Games and Game Pass Core has dozens of games, but none monthly.

PS Plus Extra adds hundreds of games, and PS Plus Premium adds hundreds more.

Admittedly, Game Pass Ultimate has a lot.

Oh I guess its changed a lot - its been over four years since I had both.

Game pass. The lack of day one titles on ps plus and ps3 games being streaming only, kind of ruins it for them. Also I feel like there's a lot more filler on ps plus.

PS+ is a solid for sure, but quantity and quality of day 1 releases on Game Pass makes it the better service. Look no further than what has come to Game Pass this year and what is planned for the rest of the year. Every so often you get a day 1 release on PS+, but it's far and few between. Sony even takes their own 1st party games off PS+.

I prefer Gamepass. Just this year alone they have kind of rehooked me. I have been playing Avowed but I have Clair Obscur, Oblivion, South of Midnight, and Revenge of a Savage Planet waiting for me when I finish it.

I use PS+ and not Game Pass because I own a PS5 but not a Xbox and don't game on PC, but couldn't really care less otherwise.

Neither, I buy my own games to keep and have more games than I have time for anyway.

But I'm reluctantly still subscribed to ps+ for online, which my kid uses. Last time I played an online game was years ago when I still bothered with GT7 / GTS online races. Last time I actually played a ps+ game was Wreckfest which was May 2021 lol. So I'm just paying the overpriced sub for my kid to play Rust with his friends. (He does try and play the ps+ games as well at least)

I have tried Gamepass a couple times for Forza Horizons, Halos, Gears, Psychonauts 2 but it kinda made me like the games less. First feeling like I need to play them before the sub runs out again, then having nothing to go back to while not subscribed. And since I already played them, feels like a waste of money to buy them after...

Neither. I own my games.
