I expect a financial crisis and global recession, but I'm not scared of it. It won't be the first time for stuff like that to happen.

The USA has had 34 recession since 1857, I wouldn't fear a recession. Now a depression worse than 2008 would cause problems, and I'm hoping we don't see another depression in my lifetime.

Was 2008 a depression? I know for a fact 2008 is still fucking us, esspecially the Americans with debt and could be the catalyst as well as Covid and recent happneings for a 1933 style Depression but I thought 2008-2010 was referred to as the great Recession. 

You don't get a sense that this coning recession will be as bad as 1933 was or close if not called a depression for not causing panic until history plays out and technicality wins, if even by a self fulfilling phropecy in the market out of fear of that mad fucker in the white house and the CCP's stubbornness?

Yeah it was a recession. It would've become a depression if the government hadn't stepped in and bailed out the fuckers that caused the mess in the first place. Including the government lol, which didn't do their job in putting away those that were responsible.

I do have some fear now as unlike in 2008, I have a family that I am responsible for now. I'm hoping later this year some crypto bets I made will pay off to where that kind of fear can be negated. Something I never had in 2008. We would go to the grocery store and my mom would say all we had was $20 for that weeks groceries lol.

Agreed. And yeah 20 is wild, even if that's 40 today you're buying sweet fuck all but it's funny though, isn't it how even though that's all there is she probably made it work. We all made what we had work and I still remember video games, luxuries and plenty of nights out drinking but with such little money coming in. Yeah, we have fuck all to worry about, thinking bavk on thar now. 

personally, I wouldn't mind a big crash and/or high inflation right now.

Perfect time to invest and my mortgage would devalue quite a bit.
