How do you feel about the prices of Switch 2 games?
Are they really doing the thing again where they re-release last gen games with some extra content at a full price?
It made sense going from Wii U to Switch, but now it just seems greedy. Everybody already got those games on the Switch, and S2 is backwards compatible, so what's the point? The new content can be DLC, why make us buy the same game again?
This is what happens when you let them have a best selling console of all time. It happened with Sony and PS2, and now Nintendo with Switch.
I'm not a fan of higher prices.
Gonna take advantage of Costco deals that sell $100 eshop cards for $90 (that eventually go down to $80 during certain holidays)
Zelda BotW and ToTK updates are included per NSO
Getting the upgrade pack for Kirby
MK World with the bundle
Bravely Default is decently priced, but will wait 50% discount
So DK might be the only game I actually buy full price
I almost never buy games at full price, so I may take advantage of rental services or just wait a year or two for the £75/$80 games.
Nintendo games don't drop in price much but despite what many say online they do drop a little. ToTK launched at £60 but is £45 now on Amazon.
The age of remasters.... Sony is doing the same sh*t though.
And Honestly 70$ is already alot, 79$ is even more.
I think 39.99$ and 69.99$ just hits differntly.
Once it goes over 70$,... its too much.
Games should not cost that much imo.
Like why did they even have to go beyond 59.99$?
Also like Zippy, I most often wait for good deals.
*edit:
In Denmark we use Kr. and 500 kr (is like ~74$ USD).
Thats basically the "now this is too much" point.
I think its partly due to us haveing a 500 kr bill (like how the US has a 50$ and 100$ dollar bill), we have one for 500kr.
Once it goes beyound that, its too much.
*edit 2:
Mario Kart World is 699kr here in Denmark.
How much is that in USD you ask? Its 102$ USD!!
Nintendo is asking Danes to pay over 100$ for this game.
Mario Party Jamboree is sold currently at 50$ on Switch.
They are trying to sell the same game with a litte more content 30 more $ on Switch 2. That's a concept lol.
I bet on Jamboree Switch outselling the Switch 2 version even after its release.

I preordered the Switch2-MKW bundle, so I get Mario Kart World for € 40.
And now I preordered Donkey Kong Bananza for € 50 (€ 60 minus € 10 welcome coupon "HELLO10") + € 5 shipping costs, so € 55 in total:
My first game since 2016 over € 50 (shipping included).
I'll probably buy the two Zelda upgrade packs to keeping them forever instead of getting an extended Nintendo Online subscription.
And of course I'll download the free upgrades for Super Mario Odyssey, Zelda EoW, Captain Toad etc.
That should be more than enough to play for 2025, especially with my huge backlog on other systems.
I won't buy a microSD Express card this year and I don't want the camera.
Probably I won't buy any Switch 2 third party game which is also available on other systems.
I'm still on the fence about the Switch 2 Pro controller. I really don't need the C button, but my Switch 1 Pro controller is probably incompatible to Switch 2. :(

The new content is available as DLC. Buy the upgrade pack for your Switch 1 version, simple enough.
Physical Switch 2 Editions are for people who didn't buy the given game on the first Switch already.
Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV will outsell Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I was wrong.

Switch 1 Pro controllers are all compatible. So are the joy-cons.
