Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo Direct set for March 27, 2025

So the leaks were true! Nintendo is always so unpredictable.

Signature goes here!

I expected Nintendo to have a Direct before April 2, just not this close to April 2. The timing is really weird. Perhaps some of the content will be cross-gen (especially from third party companies). They can detail the games tomorrow, and then quickly say they are also coming to Switch 2 during the April 2 presentation.

Lets goooo!!

Zelda TP/WW

Fire Emblem remake

Anything Mario, DK, Kirby, Zelda or Pokemon!

Yes Zelda TP/WW would love to see it.

Also release MP2 and MP3 so we get those before Prime 4. Also if they could finally release Galaxy 2 since they strangely left that out of 3D All-Stars, that would really be the perfect end to the Switch, giving Switch owners great classic Zelda, Metroid, and Mario games to play to close out the Switch's life.

A Nintendo direct one week before Switch 2 direct is certainly a choice

We've had tons of February Nintendo Directs over the years, so a February Direct a month after Switch 2's reveal and over a month before the Switch 2 Direct would've been better pacing.

Maybe Nintendo will surprise us, and mention Switch 2 a few times with Switch titles by mentioning some are cross-gen or enhanced. Highly unlikely, as I feel like everything is saved for the Switch 2 Direct.

I'm expecting third-party titles as a lot of the Direct, but also some ports and remasters and something like Rhythm Heaven.

Lifetime Sales Predictions

Switch: 161 million (was 73 million, then 96 million, then 113 million, then 125 million, then 144 million, then 151 million, then 156 million)

PS5: 115 million (was 105 million) Xbox Series S/X: 40 million (was 60 million, then 67 million, then 57 million. then 48 million)

PS4: 120 mil (was 100 then 130 million, then 122 million) Xbox One: 51 mil (was 50 then 55 mil)

3DS: 75.5 mil (was 73, then 77 million)

I guess that from April 2nd onwards everything will go towards Switch 2 in terms of marketing, including Directs. So this will be the last one strictly for the Switch, showing off everything they still have in store for the console, including possibly Metroid Prime 4. Possibly, because they might to keep that one for the Switch 2 reveal...

I think no one saw this coming. A direct for the Switch 1 just days before Switch 2's one

I mean, it was leaked a few days ago (and seemingly originally planed for late February), so people did indeed see it coming.

Since there's apparently no MP4 in the Switch 2's showcase I expect it to be shown here.

Before the leaks, I mean. No one would see that comig. Some people may have imagined Nintendo doing a Direct for the Switch 1 in February but after this, not, specially 6 days before Switch 2's Direct

Yes. I just looked at a list of all Nintendo Directs and I didn't see any released after Switch launched that were 3DS-focused with no Switch games.

Switch is more successful than 3DS was but Switch 2 is backwards compatible. It's logical to lump Switch and Switch 2 together after the Switch 2 Direct until Switch doesn't have games to announce in Nintendo Directs anymore.

Ooooh boy, here we come with the surprises coming in ... Although with all the rumored stuff from February and long back, you kinda expect them to at least show something alongside the lines of Kirby Planet Robobot "Remaster" and the Fire Emblem Genealogy of the Holy War remake

Still eating good 8 years after the facts !

Expecting Prime 4, a port/remaster of Kirby and Fire Emblem and some small eshop games, first party or not. Really not expecting much here its a short one and the heavy hitters are gonna be in Switch 2 direct.
