I'm terrified they didn't announce the price.

Console looks great, but launching air ride within 6 months of mario kart is certainly the choice of all time, and charging money for the welcome tour game? LOL.

But this direct was A+.

Might be due to the threat of tariffs that they want to see how that evolves first

Donkey Kong Bananza, Mario Kart World and The Duskbloods were the best new announcements. Oh and Elden Ring and SF6 was great to get confirmed.

Overall, it's a good direct, but I feel like they’re "saving" their first-party pipeline. Donkey Kong Odyssey I mean, Donkey Kong Bonanza, seems like it's meant to replace a mainline 3D Mario. Having a sequel to a very obscure Kirby racer from the GameCube era isn't exactly groundbreaking either, much less so a second party Hyurele Warriors game

So far, nothing has been confirmed for Christmas either

I can only guess that Nintendo is confident the increase in power, third-party support (Elden Ring, Borderlands 4, Cyberpunk, and Civ VII are HUGE games), and upgraded versions of older games will be enough to keep the Switch 2 selling until next year

This way, they can "save" their first-party bangers for 2026 and 2027. Successful consoles tend to peak after their third year anyway.

I'm glad Bananza will be released this soon because I kinda need it asap.
