There was a ton of stuff in this video.  Here are a couple of things that struck me:

1)  I'm not sure, but I think you can play Pokemon in your sleep now.

2)  Pokemon Legends Z-A is coming late 2025.  Considering this part of the video had a Switch logo in the corner, I am going to guess that this will be a cross-gen title and the big holiday title for 2025.  We probably won't know for sure until the April 2 presentation though.

I think that IF ZA was Cross gen, they would have said it here. I mean lets face it: The Switch 2 is unveiled, we know the System is coming but no word for Switch 2 in the entire Direct!? If they wanted to save the announcement for April 2: Why not announce it here to save time?! What do we expect from April 2?

Hello! This is a Nintendo Direct Showcase dedicated to Nintendo Switch 2! Take a look at its games: Pokémon ZA, Metroid Prime 4 Beyond, Xenoblade 3 DE Remastered, Splatoon 3 Remastered, Mario Kart 9 Cross Gen, Doom The Dark Ages, Mr. Game And Watch vs Dr. Kawashima's Typing School and for the End: A New 3D Mario coming late 2025! Thanks for listening: Good Fight Good Night!???

Come on😉

We'll see.  You are more optimistic about April 2 than I am.  Nintendo is the most talented software developer in all of gaming.  However, their talent is exceeded by their arrogance.  Just when they feel they can't lose, they start phoning it in, and their games end up "meh".

I'm not optimistic about April 2, but I would love for Nintendo to prove me wrong.

Speaking of starters, my least favorite fire starter is in the game.

At least Totodile is one of the starters.

A new Stadium-esque game in Champions is nice to see and long overdue.

Legends Z-A arriving late this year will hopefully give them time to make sure it's better optimized than the disastrous Scarlet/Violet, and the new battle system where you can actually move around and dodge is welcome. Still kinda looks like a Vita game, but I expected as much given Gamefreak's track record on Switch.

Honestly can't believe we didn't get a single new pokemon or mega shown in the trailer.

Did Arceus get any new Pokemon? If not, I doubt this one would get a new one.

I cant think of a spinoff game that featured new pokemon.

Legends games are not spinoffs, they are mainline, just not a new generation.

And yes, new variations, evolutions and brand new pokémon, only a few, tho.

I guess most of the "new" mons we will have are mega, specially megas for starters, and the likely new pokémon that represents the letter A for the title, as Z is for Zygarde.

When Legends Arceus was being shown they always used the new mons to showcase it, I was adamant (pun intended) that it would be the case today as well =/

Mega Meganium incoming! The first double mega xD

I'm sad to have to pick between Totodile and Chikorita, tho, hopefully Pokémon Home gives us the 3 starters quick like they did with Arceus.

Chikorita is my most picked starter on the gen I played the most, because of replays, and I'm very excited for them to give it a mega evolution and a new type (I'm guessing it turns to Grass/Fairy as a mega).

But Totodile was my OG, that is the pokémon I choose back in the day, and right now I would probably pick it again... but Chikorita doesn't deserve that =/

I freaking love all gen 2 starters, gen 2 is peak pokémon nostalgia to me.

First thing that comes to mind from the new battle system is Digimon World on PS1, which is hilarious tbh.

Can't wait to see more from this game.

I can't wait for kalos Totodile's evolutionary line. I hope it gets a new typing. If not I'd be very disappointed.

Shows you how much I know about the series even though I played so many of the games.

To think a Legend of Dragoon nerd would know stuff I dont know about Pokemon ;(
