Seriously though, wouldn't mind playing Hellblade II or Halo Infinite on Switch 2, so while I'll miss Xbox as a hardware platform, (360 was one of the best consoles of all time IMO) it does at least mean I'll get more games on my platform of choice and not have to fork out $300/$500 for a Series.

Please explain how this isnt good for MS? They are literally making more money on an old game, and are daring to remove the toxicity of Exclusives. Everyone should play FH5, it's going to help fund FH6. Also what kind of Mod posts like this "lol get out of here dude." |
The kind of mod who literally means that they're in disbelief at what you're saying.
Which I still am in after this reply.
Anyways, I'll wait for a sale then will look to probably jump into this. Definitely the MS franchise I'd most consider.

I would buy Switch 2 only for a game like Horizon 5 being portable. |
Forza Horizon 5 and Forza Horizon 4 are portable for years now. They run great on a Steam Deck and on other PC Handhelds.

Yeah, but a Steam Deck is not a Switch 2.
Well guys, I have to confess... I'm having a lot of fun reading the comments :P
I wonder if Microsoft extended the deals for the car and music licenses for this game due to the late PlayStation release (and probably Switch 2 release later this year).
Would be great for all FH5 players and potential buyers on all supported platforms.

Not sure but I had a feeling that MS were looking at shutting the servers down for this game in the near future, and figured instead, release it on more platforms to keep it alive alittle longer.
I reckon they renewed the licenses and in exchange, release it on more platforms to justify cost.

The earliest I would have seen FH5 being delisted before this announcement was two years from now, the earliest I can see it being delisted now is four years from now. I still have to buy the three 10-dollar car packs and now I don't have to be in any rush to buy them. FH4 also had a longer license deal than the previous Horizon games since it just got delisted last month so it stayed around two years longer than the previous games in the series.
