PS5 sales are not good. Especially when you see that software sales were better this week for it

They're not going to increase past 12k baseline two price hikes and 5 years in.... I think Sony anticipate this as well and don't care.

Monster hunter might help raise that to 20k after the initial boost

Switch somehow still outpacing last year. Ps5 sales are terrible.

That Dinasty Warriors made the difference for PS5.
PS5 users needed some good food (not more remasters, remakes, new editions...) for their console and finally get it.

The PS5 hardware sells, but, continue to be very low this January. I expected better numbers. And Pro is just... not what Japanese wanted.

Damn thats awfull for PS5!! Switch continues to impress! Yes its Up YoY. I see it at around 2 million this year, maybe 2,5. More would surprise me. The question is: Can it get to 40 million? I think thats a bit much but wasn't there a guy with that prediction? Anyway i expect 36- 38 million LTD in Japan.

Wow. 3 weeks in a row the Switch has been up year on year. For a system just starting it's 9th Calendar Year that's crazy. Also it's still the market leader, It's not like it's a dead system only putting out 20 to 30 units a week.

You are correct! Tbone predicted 40 million for Japan (slightly lower tracked by Famitsu). 2025 is shaping up to beat his prediction and make up some ground, since it's 0.75 million behind through 2024.
