Do wish they would do a little more deviation on the branding front. Even the TV placeholder graphic is the same. I think Playstation do a good job of showing clear succession whilst also leaving an impression of "new"

That's basically going to be the box isn't it. NextHandheld was basically right about everything, that's exactly what they described.

I didn't like the Logo is so... basic? lol I think they are doing the best they can to make sure people understand this is a continuation of Switch

Developers could also just learn how to programme and implement user friendly gyro aiming, but let me not get into that

No please, gyro aiming and motion controls are crappy!

Having mousing control is a much better interface, still amuses me why console makers do not develop mouse controllers. Baldurs Gate 3 simply works better with a mouse, having a keyboard and mouse plugged into PS5 would be amazing. They made a good job adapting the controls and menus to console controllers, but we can still see the limitations

There are very few good implementations of Gyro so I understand why you have this wrong opinion :D

Of course mouse control is ideal. But playing a game like Mario Galaxy or Caption Toad, its very clear gyro can offer quality of specific input above just a controller pad.

Mouse and keyboard may not be so great when the mouse is restricted to your thigh lmao. Looking forward to see the implementation

Well, all games with gyro aiming I tried were crappy, no exceptions so far

Sure the surface matters a lot, but a mousepad and a relatively plain surface will do the trick. I have no problems using mouse in my bed or couch

I like gyro aiming a lot, but mouse control will be good for sims like Civilization and maybe we have a Sim City coming? Nintendo loves them some Sim City.

1.7 TF (what I read), I know it is pretty meaningless; however, that is pretty weak for a console that will be over $400.

I hoped for an actual release date. Oh well...

24 player Mario Kart at 200cc is gonna be insane ^^

24 player races?

Now imagine 24 player arenas for the kart battles!

That's undocked only, it's north of 3 teraflops docked.

That's not bad, though I would caution that even on Famiboards where those numbers came from, some people are saying the CPU clocks in particular are incorrect (which probably makes sense because it has the undocked CPU clock listed as higher than docked, which makes no sense).

Nate has said the system has FF7 Rebirth, MGS Delta, Assassin's Creed Shadows, and MS Flight Simulator 2024 coming ... these are all PS5 or XBS exclusives, if it's getting ports of all these games (probably many more too, Gotham Knights is another PS5/XBS series only game that's supposedly coming), that would imply the chipset is capable enough. I mean shit, a lot of people had FF7 Rebirth as their PS5 Game of the Year just a few weeks ago.

3.09 TF docked allegedly, not bad I guess. Unfortunately I do not want a handheld, I prefer a cheaper box.

That is for handheld mode. The Switch 2 is more impressive for 2025, then the Switch was for 2017. In both cases though, the systems were so clearly above any popular portable gaming device it was essentially cutting edge as far the general public is concerned. No one is playing visuals like below on their phone and I believe steamdeck like devices are around a total of 5-7m sales after 4-5years + various entrants later. Essentially they're niche. $400 isn't considered especially expensive by modern standards either imo, its kind of the middle ground.
