Nope, I mean new mainline entries, we all know all FFs up until XIII non-inclusive are on switch, no need to own one to know that. By again I do own one though that's none of your business nor relevant to anything we're talking about here.

But I have good news for you:

Microsoft is already bowing out of the race, bad news for you though they will keep making consoles, but on the bright side for you they won't be playing the exclusives game anymore.

Sony already started porting their games to PC and eventually will no longer have a reason to make consoles with exclusives, but they will continue to make mini-PCs like MS will.

As for Nintendo, sorry to break it to you but they won the console war, in great part thanks to what is mentioned in OP, Nintendo is now able to support an exclusive console all by themselves, beautiful isn't it? Anyway if this is not to your delight, and you hope for them to stop, I have a recommendation for you: you can stop begrudgingly buying Nintendo consoles. This will make a statement to the executives at Nintendo that someone stopped buying their consoles. They may even fold due to the immense pressure your boycott may have. By the time you look like this, I'll give you a call to see how your dreams are fairing of Nintendo budging out of the market.

good luck!

Well you should have stated newer entries to the FF series in the first place, your post sounded like you didnt know what was on the Switch.

Btw XIII isnt on Switch because none of the modern platforms have a modern version of the game. Xbox has it b/c and the PC version is based on the Xbox 360 version.

You said I wasnt playing main entries so I corrected you that there are indeed main entries, no need for you to get upset about that even though you claim to be a Final Fantasy fan.

Microsoft "bowing" out isnt good news for anyone and anyone who celebrates that is a fool, it spells bad news because Nintendo cant keep up with Sony's focus on pushing out graphics and visuals due to their inexperience with maximizing hardware tech and there not being a close stat competitor would lead to bad decision making upon Sony's side similar to what Xbox did and Sony countered that during the PS4/XBO days about selling used games, etc.

I'm not sure why you say "Bad news since they'll be making consoles" considering the fact that I do own a Xbox Series X and a Series S and I have the intention of continuing on buying future Xbox consoles due to the fact of b/c and my extensive collection on the Xbox ecosystem.

Sony's going to continue making Playstation consoles because they are still selling enough to make profit for it. Thats going to increase now since they wont have a direct competitor (i.e. Nintendo not making pure home consoles and Microsoft expanding the Xbox ecosystem).

There is no console war - each platform holder is on their own path and have their own goals in mind. Its literally the best time to be a gamer especially if you indulge in all of the ecosystems.

Not sure what the rest of the nonsense in your post is, I've purchased every Nintendo system and I've never done boycotts for anything.

You sound a bit insecure about Nintendo lol.

Also leave luck to Heaven ;)

I didn't say that quality first party titles alone could save hardware at all.  What I said was, even when Nintendo makes a console that few people want, like the WiiU, it is still consistent with making great games for it and that maintains a positive perception of the company.  So when Nintendo follows up with a system that people do want, like the Switch, it's able to achieve stellar sales because people can always count on great games, which sustains the company's success.

The only complete embarrassment of a system that Nintendo has produced so far is the Virtual Boy and as long as it avoids something like that again, its legacy IPs will always be fine.  And much to your dismay, Switch 2 doesn't have to achieve PS2 level sales again to continue this pattern.

All of this applies to Sony as well though, so it's moot. They have quality first party + third party, and yes Switch 2 will get much better third party support than Switch does now, but it will be too little too late because of things like the Steam deck existing.

Also, "to my dismay"? You think my feelings are involved in this? I just genuinely don't see what Switch 2 has going for it. Doesn't have a revolutionary gimmick like the OG switch. Doesn't have a low price like the 3DS or DS did. Doesn't have the best performance. What is it's selling point? It's not about my emotions.

Hardly a moot point.  Just because Sony has quality first party titles doesn't negate anything I said, including that Nintendo still has the strongest IPs in the games industry.  By far.

I'm not upset, nor insecure, quite on the contrary I have never been more confient in Nintendo in my whole life, and I'm not the only one. See my graphs below. It's too bad you don't let heaven enter your heart and embrace Nintendo, they make amazing hardware and if they exited the race they wouldn't be able to keep doing that and their games would get less exposure and they would have less influence on the industry. You seem to want them to go down for some odd reason, though they mostly built the industry as it is today.

There is no other reason for you to strawman my posts and "EDUCATE" me because you really have nothing to say other than to try and pick at me and try to pretend like I'm not a fan of Nintendo or Squaresoft or Final Fantasy, as you always have tried to do. I played Final Fantasy before you were born, and still play it, so again you keep having these fantasies about things that are impossible, like me not being a fan of something I love, or Nintendo exiting the console race. What can I do about that, it's completely out of my power. You are free to choose how your mind works, but don't expect me to somehow bend to your mindset which has no basis in reality. Stop antagonising me, you might see we have more in common than you think, and leave the rest to heaven ;)

I'm not sure if its your old age but you are really delusional and insecure going by your unusual response.

You are just ranting and posting random irrelevant pictures which has nothing to do with what I had said in any of my posts in this thread.

" It's too bad you don't let heaven enter your heart and embrace Nintendo"

You seriously need to get help. Giving off creepy cultist vibes like you worship Nintendo like an idol. Yikes.

"You seem to want them to go down for some odd reason, though they mostly built the industry as it is today."

Show me where I said that? Cause it sounds like you are projecting.

and yet they have a monopoly on the market?

On the Japanese Market? They have, well if we ignore Mobile gaming market which is in fact the biggest gaming segment in Japan

Only about 7 million gamers plays primarily on PCs in Japan, and another 7 mi plays on both PCs and Consoles

That's said PC gaming has grown substantially in the last years, so maybe this can take away some of Switch 2 sales. Still there is no way for Switch 2 selling less than 25 million, 3DS sales are the absolute floor for this console and the odds of it selling above 30 million are really strong

Where did you get this information from? Cause I don't think I've seen that stat before.

Nope, not insecure, not old, not projecting, doing just perfect and lovely. Not cultist, not creepy, not nothing of all the foul judgements that exited from your hateful mind. Thanks for not adressing me anymore.

By the way, it was obvious from our old FFIV conversation that you dislike Nintendo and have a bias for Sony so you can stop pretending like you're a fan of Nintendo. Don't waste your energy.

Guys, guys, 3rd party support is not a hardware problem, never was. Ubisoft was happily supporting the Wii U until sales of the console didn't meet their expectations, then they ditched the Nintendo player base completely. I was there, I remember, I haven't supported Ubisoft since.
Now Ubisoft and every other 3rd party is on their knees for the Nintendo Switch. Of course the console didn't get Baldur's Gate 3 or Wukong, games that struggle even with the Series S, but you cannot say with a straight face that Nintendo haven't FEASTED on 3rd party support this gen.

Ok Boomer.

Your last sentence is proof that you are suffering from something. I'll pray for you though even if you arent a Christian anymore. Farewell.

You're not a christian, all you did was insult me. If you need to pray for someone, start with yourself.

Part V - Conclusion

To make a VERY long story short: Nintendo prioritizing themselves over 3rd parties and not pursuing their support as much as Sony or Microsoft has paid off gloriously at their best and bit them hard in the ass at their worst. Their decisions throughout their history has placed them in a position where they have more control over their success and failure than either Sony or Microsoft do. And in the end, they managed to get exactly what they wanted; Be the stars of their own show. But now also have enough room and space for 3rd parties to have success on their platforms as well. Basically where they were with the SNES, only without the dick-headed practices and guidelines.

So if I have to give a straightforward answer, I would say... Yes.

Have you submitted your thesis yet, or is this an early draft? If so, what grade did the professor give you? Lol
