In hindsight, was it always smart for Nintendo to never prioritize or pursue 3rd party support?

30-35 million in Japan alone is all but guaranteed, Xbox is irrelevant and neither PCs or Sony catches the general gamer. Nintendo has a monopoly in the market, which is some ways extends to the rest o Asia. 40 million+ in Asia is pretty safe bet

Selling 60 million in North America, Europe and ROW will be a breeze for Nintendo. It's the only major handheld in the market and will be like that for a while. I can see an argument of Steam Deck 2, and possibly new Sony and Xbox handhelds getting some market share from Nintendo, but in current states of affairs Switch 2 has absolutely nothing going against it. It will be the 3rd best selling Nintendo system effortlessly

So now it's not just they're the market leader, but that they even have a monopoly on the market? The biggest game of all time GTA6 probably won't be on their platform at launch (never has before), and yet they have a monopoly on the market?
