Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo Switch 2 Leaks are ruining my sanity

The thing that just makes me so skeptical is that if Switch 2 really is coming out in March how have clips or cover art of the software not leaked yet?

I know most games don't leak, either from Nintendo or in general. But most major games are revealed at least 3 months in advance, if not a lot longer.

If Mario Kart or 3D Mario is out in March, it seems improbable seem leaker didn't try for it yet even while risking the wrath of the Nintendo Ninjas.

Latest rumor says May or June , not March.

In the modern day I don't think you need much lead up to launch a system. 2months is enough unless there's tons of new software or gimmicks to digest but I'm not suspecting that to be the case.

We'll have 2 flagship Nintendo titles, probably one single player and one more family/party focused, with lots of late 3rd Party ports and a few small indie exclusives. Everything else will be launch window which will have sperate spotlights in the spring.

I'm hoping for an Aril Launch because I know so many Switch owners desperate for new big titles. Titles like Xenoblade will not ever register for the average Switch owner

Software leaks are either hacks (which are very rare) or from retail versions which is normally weeks in advance, not months.

Anyway looks like we'll getting our answer this week fingers crossed.

For what it's worth the NextHandheld leaker who leaked the dock, the name being Switch 2 with logo, and a side shot of the system did say the system is launching with a Nintendo game with the number 9 in it (Mario Kart 9 would seem like the obvious pick here) and that he had seen the retail box and it's a red box again.

Also there's another leak going around that Switch 2 software boxes (retail) are physically larger than Switch 1 software boxes to avoid confusion, not sure how legit that leak is though.

MK9 would be awesome since I just finished MK8D last year. Perfect timing lol

If the switch 2 carts have the nub on the top that prevents them from being inserted fully into a switch 1 then it would make sense that the boxes would need to be a little deeper to accommodate the nub ...

Can't people be patient? It will come when it comes. No system had a longer live before getting replaced than the Switch (besides the gb)

Likely will know tomorrow if there is a showcase on the 16th.

Honestly, I'm ready to roll with announcement whenever they want between this week and the deadline they set out in March.

But considering the rumors for the announcement to be in two days.
I mean, if this is wrong, the speculative internet will likely implode in real time as we know it lol

Same, I'm fine with that - plenty of games to play.

Last time it was 8:30 pm ET when Nintendo posted the Switch announcement would come the following day.

It's possible a lot of people won't learn if the leak was right until they wake up tomorrow.
