We complain a lot about modern gaming and often for good reasons, but can we talk about how stacked the last 3 years have been? I don't recall any 3 consecutive years in gaming history being this stacked.

1996-1998?
Off the top of my head, Mario 64, Zelda OOT, Goldeneye, RE/RE2, FF7/FF8, AoE, Quake 2, Half-Life, SoulCalibur, Banjo, TR, Crash, etc.
Dammit, I had it at 89 OC and then I changed it last minute. I would have had my first spot on of the year.

Reviews are in for Ghost of Yotei and its currently sitting at a respectable 88 with 74 reviews. The ones who guessed exactly that are @firebush03, @haxxiy and @BonfiresDown. Could still change a bit though.

I know Crimson Desert got pushed to 2026…but I’m thinking it’ll hit 89OC. Impressions from those who’ve played it say that gameplay feels extremely good (as expected from how it’s looked in the trailers) but the story appears to be potentially very weak. If Nintendo can achieve 90+ without solid stories, then I believe this will be no different.

I think there's a difference between lacking story and having a bad one. You don't blame a 2D Mario for not having a good story since that's not a focus to begin with, but if a game spends on bunch of time on a "blah" story that's a big shortcoming.
But anyways I've removed Crimson Desert for now.
