That's where sites like PSNProfiles and TrueAchievements/TrueTrophies come in handy, adding a bunch of extra data to track, as well as Achievement/Trophy rarity.

For people who say no one cares aside from me. 11 million people bought Spiderman 2, 17% of people platinumed it. Over 1.7 million playinums isn't just me, people care. Trophies have become an actual thing people doing enjoy and it's growing all the time.

Oh, yeah. I've been on PSN profiles before and now that I think on it, I've seen it in people's sigs here on the site, any idea how put it in your signature?

Not entirely sure. I imagine you just insert the URL to your Trophy card using the Insert/edit image button that shows up when you use the Rich Text Reply option.

454k views, ya this is not niche anymore and this is just one video, many people faller smaller youtubers or Youtubers who are soley devouted to a genre or series, Teophies matter and Eony knows itbvery well, so there is no excuse to not refine the system and add more fatures...

I don't know, if people have fun with trophy whore games, let them be. It's not like they're taking anything away from you, are they? I stopped caring about trophies ten years ago, but even back then, I really didn't care too much about other peoples trophies. It was always good fun for myself and challenge to get absurdly hard platinums like Killzone 2 or something. But I never intended to brag about that.

At the end of the day, the whole trophy thing is for shits and giggles (and customer loyalty), so let's just keep it light-hearted would be my suggestion.

Official member of VGC's Nintendo family, approved by the one and only RolStoppable. I feel honored.

Well when you put it like that, aye. But there is the issue that these games could be effecting players who are addicted to trophies and one thing I didn't mention in the OP but DLCs delete percentages from Trophy lists leaving many gamers with OCD to have to buy the DLC, this is something that needs to be fixed, separate lists for DLC should be a thing or have a separate menu within the Trophy list so it doesn't reduce the percentages. I used to be OCD and I know this would have ruined my gaming.

You're looking into it too much for your own good.

That said, the system is probably a bit flawed. Curation would probably be nice, but it's never going to happen. Another simple improvement (although this is probably debatable) would be awarding points for each trophy based on how rare it is. But then we'd have a constantly living system that's also parallel to the bronze/silver/gold distinction, so it adds a notable amount of complexity to the system.

The practical solution is to either care less or focus your attention on any of the unofficial trophy hunting sites that actually do value the trophies appropriately.

Can you recommend any of those sites?

I was going to recommend PSNProfiles, if you're using PC (it has no mobile version), but I don't think it's great for valuing trophies by their difficulty. The UI is really nice on PC though. On the other hand, I'm using Exophase.com for easily tracking my achievements/trophies across different services, and it seems to give an explicit point value to each achievement/trophy based on how rare it is, but other than that, I'm not sure how well it would suit your needs, since I don't really care about what others are doing with their achievements/trophies. I'm only interested in collecting and tracking them for myself. All in all, these aren't really recommendations but my experiences instead, in case they happen to be of use to you.

You usually post ... questionable ideas but this is next level lol.

Making games is not easy, not every cheap game with easy trophies is shovelware. If developers want an "easy" list either because it goes with the demographic group of people they want to play the game, because they don't care or because it could help sales so be it.

When people think they have the right to "shame" the work of a developer because it goes against what they considere "ideal" that tells me they don't care about developers or the industry, oh but when layoffs happen they act like they care lol.
