They're disabled precisely because the game received a huge amount of hate; that has carried over to Intergalactic as a lot of people suspect it will carry on the direction they hated so much.

That explains one of the comments on Intergalactic trailer where someone was surprised that Sony didn't disabled the comments.

On top of that, it seems like the game will mock faith and religion, throwing jabs at Christianity.

I don't know how much this can impact the reception, but things are looking worse with each news.

From a cursory reading it seems like Naughty Dog has been pretty particular that this is 2000 years in the future and it's a fictional religion. Given that the guy who made Earthworm Jim is a dipshit I'll wait and see on this one. 

Honestly think we need another Dogma style movie so religious people can get the persecution complex out of their systems every now and then.

It was a pretty crappy trailer. It's always a bad idea to not show any gameplay for a new ip.

It's a Naughty Dog title so it will probably do fine regardless. The big problem so far is we haven't seen any gameplay. Based on that we can judge the game. Could be we are making a big deal out of nothing or the game itself could become the heretic in Naughty Dog is history.

So, Naughty Dog has wrapped up the cinematic shoot for Intergalactic, and people are raging over it. To spread the news, someone from the company went to Twitter and made a "Cowboy Bebop" reference with the main character, causing an uproar of rage and memes.

At this rate, I suspect it will be a cross-gen game, since there seems to be quite a bit of progress to do. But seriously, Naughty Dog must be very cautious with Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, because since the announcement back in 2024, almost all comments are negative.

Either this is going to surprise everyone, or it will be a massive disaster for the company.

This game will be great, and easily sell 10m+ copies.

Why is anyone listening to these incels on twitter? These are the same guys that highlighted the “bisexual lighting” on the Halo: Combat Evolved cover art(yes, this is a real thing) which is listed as a critique on its DEI Detective page(yes, this is a real website—it scored a 3.5/5 wokeness btw).
