I know the answer to this question, throughout history it does not, it simply changes and the sides shift but do you think the super amplified, always simmering load of bollachs that the internet has caused will eventually be sorted out? Do you see it as needing sorting out? You can simply tune out, is the common answer... Well, no you can't, tuning out is to turn to your hobby but all kine are infested with clashing sides warring over some fucking idea to prevail and it's gotten ridiculous, even music isn't safe which I believe to be a god given right up there with freedom of speech. It's all such a daily headache as you try to navigate the spaces you inhabit, at least online and it never relents.

I'm at the point that I'm for laws that seriously vilify the use of the Internet in people younger than a certain age. More restrictions, something I never thought I would say but Kojima was right in MGS2 and if you haven't played I suggest you watch a video on the motivations of the AI in that game but it is poignant to the situation we find ourself in.  I don't know what restrictions or filtration of information that we need, I've seen serious proposed solutions as a ministery of truth... yeah, sounds ominous doesn't it.

Around the Network

Culture and politics are intertwined, so no, it can never completely end without ending everything.

As for censoring the internet or (social) media etc, by all means, allow those who want more censorship for themselves, to be able to choose to do so, with AI or whatever other means.

For those who don't want it, leave them alone.

PS1   - ! - We must build a console that can alert our enemies.

PS2  - @- We must build a console that offers online living room gaming.

PS3   - #- We must build a console that’s powerful, social, costs and does everything.

PS4   - $- We must build a console that’s affordable, charges for services, and pumps out exclusives.

PRO  -%-We must build a console that's VR ready, checkerboard upscales, and sells but a fraction of the money printer.

PS5   - ^ -We must build a console that’s a generational cross product, with RT lighting, and price hiking.

PRO  -&- We must build a console that Super Res upscales and continues the cost increases.

Don't know but we don't need even more threads adding to it and more of the same old arguments, locking.

If you want less of it then focus on more positive leaning threads.
