I got the Master Sword in BOTW, and immediately did the DLC quest to make the sword not weaker than other generic weapons.

Spoiler!

I don't think that should be something people need to pay for (the challenge stages should be, but not the reward), though I'll share more of my thoughts on the paid DLC in this game later.

I've done 2 Beasts and seen most of the map.
So I've lost the sense of excitement to turn on the game that I've had up until recentlty. Now I feel like I'm forcing myself to see things though, at least with the main story objectives and memories.
Because right now it feels like the only reward of exploration is seeing new areas, which I can only do once. And then it's the same shrine, korok seed or variation of the same pig enemies to defeat.

I wish there were more interesting and rewarding side quests/stories to make the world feel more alive, kind of like in Majora's Mask. I think there is at least one, involving helping out with the creation of a town. So I'll work on that one. Which means I should fnally go to Gerudo, which I've been curious to see for a while. I've kept a Gerudo weapon in my inventory all this time for that reason.

Hitman got a big patch, broke my play style FFS.

First of all none of my saves will load anymore, all lead to a hard crash while loading.

Worse, the de-escalation system seems completely broken now. Even though I'm not detected committing a 'crime' (knocking someone out to change disguises) they somehow notice it anyway and then escalate to hunted mode while I'm already long gone and changed disguises again. They literally come running along the entire path I followed (I circled around to observe them) and keep going until they run into me. Never de-escalating, relentlessly pursuing in some omnicognizant mode.

Then when I get rid of the pursuer, it plays out all over again. Crime noticed -> searching -> hunted. While before the patch 'crimes' would reset, after searching the area they would de-escalate back to normal, clean up and guns left on the ground and get back into the normal routine.

It got very hectic last night since the other (initially undetected) crimes also keep getting noticed randomly later. So now where ever I go it escalates to hunted mode again. I have to change my play style to kill everyone :/

Fucking sucks. The game was great fun, relaxing playing with the systems and when something goes wrong, hide it out. Can't do that anymore, at least not on the map I started over after the patch broke my 3 hour save on that level.

And of course it's online, can't play on without patching, can't revert the patch.

I was going to buy the deluxe upgrade for 2 extra levels to play in but now I'm changing my mind. I'll give it another go again tonight but if it keeps playing out like last night then it will be time to abandon the game. From favorite to wtf did they screw up.

The patch did fix other stuff and you can now drag bodies at full speed which kinda breaks immersion after doing it carefully all this time and timing it so to knock them out close to hiding places. Feels silly now to drag them around at full speed. It also added more contracts, but that just on existing maps. To me that's not more content, re-using old content just changing the targets. Exploring the maps and trying out all the mechanics on each map is my play style, now denied.

I love the town one. It opens up the only place that will fix the Hylian shield if it breaks. Tho I had the 8-Bit Amiibo to unlock a version of the green tunic. It is in the game. As a reward for 120 Shrines and still need to navigate through the Temple from Zelda II full of guardians lol.

That sucks. I tell yaz, we have to revolt and ask for patch rollback on singleplayer games. I've had two games this year that were the same situation, just another reason to wait a few months. I'll never play a game that requires a build again until patching is doen with. And on top of that I had to deal with KCD sucking near 200gigs of my Internet and I'm not even playing it, heard they broke that game too and they had 20gig hot fixes...20 gigs.

I can not recommend Still Wakes the Deep even for one of these games. The game is boring as fuvk but not only that it becomes a frustrating, broken blavk mess to play. Tried everything from turning off HDR to upping all brightness settings in game and on my TV to getting within an inch on the TV and still they expect you to navigate a complex area in total darkness, all I can do is put on high contrast mode in the assessibility and try to aim for what's lit up and use throwables as a sort of sonar. Litterally blind playthrough. Couple that with frequent bugs and hardcrashes and this will be the first sub 5/10 game I will finish ever since I was a child who knew no better, cause I'm on some masochistic OCD fuckery I have to Platinum this game now and all I can do now is research the platinum and try to make it as fast as possible. I should break my streak here or drop it but it's my 13th platinum if I do it, so I guess the curse is playing the damn thing.

Platinum No. 14 will be better, Dubgeons of Hinterberg is an easy 8 so far, bout ten hours in and impressing me more and more.

Back to 1 star rating and not gonna pay $40 for the 2 extra levels now.

Publishers that don't respect my time get no respect in return. They did it before (patch breaking save games) yet that time it was 'understandable'. There was an issue with save games, easier to not include a save converter to fix the broken saves. This time they just changed something causing all saves to stop working and simply crashing back to 'desktop'. It's not something they could have missed, it's deliberate negligence as everyone is experiencing the same issue. Not even adding a warning that old saves are not compatible.

I'll give it another try tonight, probably end up killing the whole village and putting them in a big pile lol.

That's gaming nowadays, play fast before a patch patches you out. Happened with Elite Dangerous, happened with FS2020, happened with PoE2. Don't get invested in modern games I guess.

Online has become a net negative for gaming. Releasing broken games with day 1 patches or requiring to download the entire game again anyway, servers turning off, patches introducing bugs and altering game play, then the entire game gets delisted for license nonsense.

Dammit, I don't have any retro VR games to fall back on...

I was option A, patch turned me into a mass muderer lol

De-escalation works when they run out of people to send....

Trying India tonight, hopefully it was a local 'glitch'. The same dude respawned again in Colombia, noticing a day old crime and starting the whole shit over again everytime I got close to that part of the map. They all ended up in the above picture lol.

The second pile was at the mansion stuff glitched out. There would have been a third pile but their telepathy got the best of me, surrounded. I reloaded and just sprinted straight for the targets, threw some scissors / screw driver / kitchen knife at them unseen and be done with the buggy level.

The guns still suck and reloading from your crotch is still awkward (have to lean forward to reach ammo) but you can simply throw empty guns away as they all drop fully loaded ones anyway. Anyway it's more effective to pick up the knives stuck in their throats and re-use those over and over. Throwing is much more accurate than bullets...

Thanks Hitman, you created a serial killer! No witness left behind.

Started a new Baldurs Gate 3 campaign, this time with a group of friends. One who already played BG3, one who have played Diablo and one who never played any CRPG

This is my first time playing without any companion, so it will be interesting to see how dialogues will be. We will revise the dialogue choices

I'm playing with a Dragonborn cleric. Never played as Cleric before because I always want to keep Shadow heart given how good is her questline

I'm gonna preach the good word of Clair Obsvur Expedition 33. While you were away vacationing in Hitman the most wonderful flat game released. Honestly, take the hype on this and I know you have loved RPGs of old, this is an awesome fusion of new and old and no need for reflexes either, all timing is based on slow patterns until we'll into end game. It has one of the best stories, freshest in quiet some time. The hype for the game is justified and the price is almost half that of a big AAA release, like 60% or something.

I really wanna get in on this as Divinity OS games ate both in my top 5 of all time but it's such an overwhelming ammount of choice. I know there is no bad choices but it feels like there are bad and good choices in this game. For some reason the choices don't feel as easy to take and move on with the story and if I die in a fight and reload I'm more than likely gonna change my choice if it got me into the fight, something that feels like save scumming and the ability wheeels on console are strange too, there doesn't seem to be any synergistic skills just a bunch of random skills with negatoves and positives. I think I will have to force myself onto the dopamine threadmil here.

At what point does the game grab you and not let go? I've cleared half the first map twice now, never cleared up the goblin situation though.
