One would need friends who are gamers to play Nightreign, my best friend has annoyances with smart phones. Many people like me and I see it echoed online esspecially with Nightreign that this is a case of the many great looking co-op games or even our favourite games of all time like Divinity OS2 we cannot experience their co-op mode, no matter how much we like the franchise we are sidelined. We aren't all as lucky as @SvennoJ to have the perfect wife....or a wife at all for that matter.

I'm not saying Nightreign looks bad, I'm sure it's fun with friends, I remember that feeling so well as split screen was my favourite way to play games for many years right from the start but Nightreign does not exactly look stellar, if it wasn't Elden Ring I think this would be hitting scores of 60's at best. It does not look balanced even slightly, it looks as if no thought went into it at all and it's just a mish mash of ideas, zero synergy, zero cohesion. I hope I'm wrong and if I do find a gamer friend, oh fuck it would have to be a hard-core gaming friend and all for this one, I might have a good game eto play but I think they'll have to do a lot of post launch work with this one. I see so many red flags with the game but I also see people having fun gor right now in their first few runs. I suspect there will be many influencers making videos saying they don't like this in the next few days regardless. The worst part of a souls game is summoning a player to help you fight a boss and that's what this is to a tee, you already see magic users just sitting back and having a melee player pull aggro, they really REALLLY needed to implement an aggro system of some sort.

In my case I'm lucky my BF is a gamer like me, and he enjoys multi-player games. So we only need a third player, we have a couple of friends who will probably be joining us

Nightreign is definitely a game to be played with friends, solo playing looks quite miserable, and the way the bosses works feel they are designed with a party in mind

Mechanically speaking, it's a Souls combat i.e. vastly superior to almost anything in the market, but with additional layers of complexity and really fast paced action instead of the typical slow approach of other souls games

The issue for me are: there is only one map, few playable characters and balancing issues

All those problems are easily fixable with updates, the point is if From Software intend to support Nightreign as a live service type of game, because as it stands I don't see this game having big longenvity, it's a game to be played for maybe 20-50 hours

Highly recommend Doom The Dark Ages! id Software never disappoints.

Finally started playing the Capcom Fighting Collection 2. A lot of fun, but, it became quickly apparent that the Power Stone games are not using the Dreamcast version lol. I looked it up and sure enough, they're the arcade versions. Not a deal breaker, but I feel like that should've been noted by Capcom to be the case lol unless I missed it in the marketing materal.

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind

I've softened on Nightreign, still think its unbalanced even for the full three players just my perception of that imbalance has changed, it looks very fun to reek havoc on the enemies and they can't do a thing about it. Even magic and builds I would never choose in base Elden Ring looks so fun. I may have to grab this on sale and solo it regardless, I would never in a month of Sundays PUG this cause it would be a nightmare but I think I would be able to adapt and build for solo from what I am seeing, I've seen people who are far worse at Souls than I make decent attempts. Main reason I want to play is it would surely get you playing in ways you never considered or thought to be fun in Soulsborne/Elden ring and actually have a blast... quite litterally with some incantations.

Another Crabs treaure isn't a great soulslike, even though it has a cool risk reward parry and counter attack system but it is the best 90's Disney film tie in game I've ever played. Reminds me of Days playing A Bugs life or even PS1s Croc games. It's extremely nostalgic for some reason. It's brought back memories I have never remembered before.

You can fix weapons in BoTW by throwing them at an Octorok.

Correction: By throwing them *in front* of an Octorock (and I believe it’s specifically Octorocks in Eldin? Though I could be wrong…) and having them suck it up. They will chew on the weapon and make it like new, along with some potentially stat boosts.

Finished The Last of Us part 2. It took me over a year for that. Gameplay is good, but the plot is pure trash.

I wouldn't call it trash, they should have a directors cut that reworks the story, just edited so you're swapping back and forth from Abby to Ellie... now the characters and how they just don't develop side characters and expect you to care when they die, that's trash. Some of the dialogue is trash. Making Ellie irredeemable and not giving her proper time towards the end to gain a little favour back like Abby did, is trash. As a revenge story though, it is one of the better ones imo. I don't think I have seen ultraviolence done that impactfully outside of 80's films.

Dammit, I wish I had known this and you could do this in every region.

I'm playing the new Doom, and I think it's great. If you've enjoyed the past couple Dooms, this one is just as good.

Kojimas own words on Death Stranding 2s graphics. The PS4 and Ps5 are a small gap in hardware, somewhat the same console so they focused on terrain detail and refining what was there. That said, many people have been blown away by vistas and certain closed encounters like some boss fights on base PS5 but I suspect from their wording more in an artistic sense.

So don't expect a generational leap folks, it's never coming for 9th gen. Maybe never again for consoles, just refinments and improvments. One would think it's about time to make a 10-12 year system and just start focusing on performance and giving developers a machine that can do simulation, particle effects and all those bells and whistles, apart from ray tracing, they need to stop wasting recourses on that. But i bet PS6 will be a path tracing machine at 8k or some bullshit and they'll plan for 7 years with a 700 price tag. Fools. Comnit yo a 10 year plus plan and design the console so devs don't go chasing things that'll ruin the games in areas like image quality and performance.
