I see a LOT of people glazing the game right now and buying it over Doom TDA in protest of the price. I was gonna do a thread on it and how much of the player base of Doom will bump the older games showing many people can't buy every game right now and these games at 79,99 are setting up the biggest failures in the history of gaming over the next few years. 

I see more protest of the physical copies of the game, which is already a minority of overall players, but I completely understand why they're upset.

What's funny though about those that are upset about the price, I only ever see the premium edition at the top of the pre-order charts on the PS Store or Xbox Store. I'm like, I thought everyone was supposed to be upset about the cheaper price lol

Even if it weren't for TDA, the game is legit amazing. You're overpowered from the start, late 90s arena shooting and sense of speed, cyberpunk aesthetic and soundtrack, and the combat is incredibly satisfying. 

@OT Bought a 7 hour hard-core "Souls like" third person shooter called Scars Above for 5.99 on sale for one third the full price. Only had a half hour with it last night but I suspect I'm really gonna like this one. Ti's only six or so hours apparently which is exactly what I need after such long games like E33 and Khazan the later which I'm closing in on the final Boss I suspect, that game just got so damn good after exploring the skill tree fully now that I have enough points to experiment with just about anything a weapon has to offer. I'd say they shot themselves in the foot by not having this stuff unlock old school style ad you progress and as inbeded mechanics, some stuff really changes the game but I suppose there's something to be said about the freedom of it too. I'll def be doing a NG+ for the no summons trophy which I locked myself out of trying to kill Trokka but there was no need cause summons are shit in this game and upgrading them would be hours of grinding. Anyway, the game is excellent. Fingers crossed gor Scsrs above too as a palette cleanser. 

@G2ThaUNiT I don't believe half the shit I see on PS stores. They had DA Veilgaurd and other flops well after launch when they hot crippled as if it was selling hotcakes. I wouldn't believe the fancy editions are selling more.

Update as of 05/14/2025

Been playing Driveclub and Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition - both through my PS5.

Got to Torque championship in the DLC for Driveclub.

As for DMC5SE - I'm playing like I played my PS4 playthroughs of DMC4 - where I play the Devil Hunter mode (Normal) and then play Human (Easy) skipping cutscenes and just finishing up the missions finding stuff I missed, getting trophies where I didnt get it originally and just farming red orbs.

Noticed the time frame is different - the devil hunter versions take me about 15-20 minutes while the Human runs take me like 5-7 minutes but thats more likely because I have been skipping cutscenes.

Btw, love the story cutscenes in DMC5.

yeah .. Clair 33 at one point was about meticulously managing my team for perfect synergy and those 9999 dmg attacks but now it’s solo play hitting 5.5m damage and 1 shotting everything :) now the game is perfect. 

You can double the damage if you add in Sciel to buff Maelle first turn. If you give sciel the cheater pictos/lumina it's an easy way to get more buffs on Maelle. I think they nerfed her but I got her to hit 400 million damage with some RNG luck with the roulette Lumina. I know 5 mil seems a lit but you'll need to bump up those numbers. Versa can also buff her but it's not worth wasting the time. Sciel and Maelle combo is the best. 

Glad to see you're liking it now but I'm flabbergasted that your goal is to play the game so you don't have to actually play the game 😅 

Also, you can have a suicide character who dies at battle start and then add in pictos that on death buff you're solo maelle or maelle Sciel combo. So you don't have to play them but they end up being useful. 

Just like the devs intended and I’ll hear no different 😄
