I once again recommend Khazan with the caviate that this will become more difficult than any souls like anf the hump is long but it's worth getting through it. Also, spread your stat points out instead of knocking everything into health and your primary scaling, stanima regen is a must even if you don't use the duel blades as is strength to be able to equip a full set at grade B, you can get a lot of stanima regen on gear also by changing attributes as well as other stats like extra stanima if you don't have the points to level Endurance. The attack damage is so much less important cause if you can't keep attacks up and have to wait, that balances out anyway but more time with the boss means more chip damage while you're waiting for stanima regen.

Shactuka is the first time I beat a boss in Khazan without trying more than two dozen times at least, got him on my second try and nearly on my first.

It's not that the game is hard, it's that the systems don't open up early enough as well as mechanics like altering gear stats and crafting full sets for the bonuses, the game has opened up and feels like Nioh 2 now. Now that there's plenty of unlocks from the skill tree with combo skills, passives and special skills, there's rage mode and I have enough stats to equip a full set and make a build work the games difficulty is drastically reduced and it didn't hurt that I redone my stats to be balanced out between most things like Stanima recovery and Strength for equip load instead of straight vitality and main weapon scaling stat, I could increase my attack damage but I think putting points into endurance and having all stats up would be more benificial. The below video is on easy but I've changed back to normal since cause I feel OP now. Game is fun as hell despite its flaws.

This fight felt more like Stellar Blade than the same Khazan I was playing the day before yesterday. A real pity they didn't get the game rolling sooner. Allowing for more skill points and unlocks earlier would improve this game so much cause I'm sure Viper and Volbaino filtered many people and if not Maluca definitely did.

Playing FF7 Rebirth and enjoying it. You probably already played it but damn it's a good looking game. The Nostalgia hits hard.

The for recommending to anyone reading but really just a dedicated place to place your thoughts, maybe discuss when there is no dedicated thread for a game or the game is older or niche. Feel free to leave your thoughts, it's a game many thoughts will come up, I wrote nearly a thesis on it by the end.

Oh those bastards did a patch in Khazan and fucked with the some stats somewhere and fucked my full set build so now I'm in the green and at 69% weight instead if below 60 which I had perfectly tuned and I had a renewed love for the game. Fuck them. Why does everything have to be ubfun and in the digital age you can't revert a fucking patch. Cunts and criminals they are. Just when I was enjoying myself the fun police vome along and have to intervene. Why can't we revert one fucking patch on products we pay for incase a dev does something shit and stupid, we should be allowed to go back just one 😤 purple pubic hair, cunt fucking bastards! Shite.

Shared pain is half the pain?

"Last night I was playing with a smooth 60fps on ultra at 85% GPU load on Ultra at 1440p. After this update I'm struggling to even hit 45 with MAX GPU load and CPU temps spiking. This update definitely broke something."

"Yeah, this made it completely unplayable on my end," this player added. "I'm not even sure what y'all did, but I'll patiently wait for a fix :(".

We had similar issues with PoE2 (like suddenly not be able to use abilities anymore as stats requirements changed), but that has the excuse it's in beta.

While I was doing my world tour in FS2020 during the pandemic, every monthly update I had to basically learn to fly again. Figure out what was broken this time and find workarounds. Either flight controls messed up, graphical settings / load messed up, new crashes, new plane behavior. After nearly a year I arrived back home in quite a different plane and game. I developed quite the patch day ptsd from FS2020 lol.

Hence my motto nowadays is, no point playing multiple games casually, focus on one at a time as it can change any moment with a mandatory patch. My shit broke in Minecraft as well as in NMS and Elite Dangerous (The economy changed so much I went from being well off in game to the poor house in worthless old tech after a year break).

Which is all a big issue with game preservation. I still have the original discs of DriveClub, NMS, GT Sport / GT7. All totally different games than the release version. Not only adding more content but also altering the physics for better and worse. And of course with DC and GT Sport, no more online servers, most of the game is inaccessible.

At least with movies the original can always still be played. With games not so much.

It's so fucked. Clair obscur requires you to ping the Internet. I guess you could pause the update download and keep it paused something I when it works but no matter what settings I lock auto updating from occurring, it always restarts at some point. I think I will be buying physical for very long games anymore so I can revert to 1.0 if things so sideways but there's the issue of broken saves and files not working with earlier updates or 1.0 files not working with updates which is staggeringly frustrating, TW3 broke my 200+ hour save.

Ugh, we are totally driving off a cliff, aren't we? Progress is becoming regression in gaming and all other areas of life and society it seems, tech or no tech.

Quality control really has dropped over the years but not just in gaming.

They dont make hardware (like Refrigerators and Microwaves) like they use to - its all in the design so people would get up and buy the newer item instead of holding on to something for 10-20 years.
