Working on Remnant 2. The first one I’d consider a Souls game, but this one isn’t nearly as punishing. The first one you basically had to play co-op to make any real progress, but this one feels optional.

If there is anything I really dislike about the game is that the enemies scale to your most upgraded gear, unless their level is naturally equal or above to your own when you first arrive at a level. At higher levels, all the advantages you’ve accumulated makes you punch well above your weight category, but it artificially forces you to progress very carefully, and there IS a chance that you accidentally tally upgrade your weapon by finding it in a chest or a co-op partner finding it in their own game. Not cool.

That aside, I LOVE this game. The music, the atmosphere, even the RNG that decides which bosses/encounters/loot spawn into your procedurally-generated map. There are so many unique items and Traits depending on which bosses you fight and how you deal with them that the replay value skyrockets.

Re-roll a campaign level to engineer story scenarios, or re-roll in Adventure Mode to farm items, or do the Boss Run Mode to fight your favourite bosses in different ways.

The Remnant games elegantly sit at the intersection of Soulsborne, Rogue-like and Looter Shooters, while managing to stay true to their own identity (Backrooms mini-level notwithstanding).

Atm. Just killing time with Zero Gunner 2 on Dreamcast. Short. Thinking of hooking up the Mega HD to play some Musha. Just need some short shmups atm. Waiting until the last week of September to go through all the Gears games again before E-Day.

Gonna try to play Two Point Museum, I loved Two point Hospital and bought Campus but I have a better feeling about this one. Anyway, about one quarter into my playthrough of The Witcher 3, still my favourite game ever, an absolute phenomenal game. I should write an essay on this ge cause I still can't process how good this game is after 11 years.

I hear the latter is pretty bad. 

If you don’t support your favourite developers at their lowest then you ain’t a real fan. 

Finally really digging into Donkey Kong Bananza. It's probably my favorite game since Breath of the Wild. I really thought it was going to get repetitive, but I want to keep exploring more.

I suppose so, that's a good way to look at it. 

The Witcher 3 is beyond belief, I'm gonna start an essay. I just wish it had a dick so I could suck it.
