Where does Requiem go on the RE timeline? I haven't bought it yet but it looks good. |
It's the latest. So it takes place now. Leon is old.

Back on Elden Ring after weeks of Path of Exile 2 - I need a break from the latter.
I also bought Crimson Desert, but I've only played for an hour or so. Been looking at guides for settings, I'm getting some really weird visual issues (noise and artifacting and very strange light effects). Will get back to it today after I fix the settings.

Like Leynos said, it's the latest one.
Yeah I'm sold on Requiem then. Loved RE4 and RE2. Gotta see what Leon is up to now.

Crimson without Ray Reconstruction/Regeneration on tends to have those artifacts - and RR in tandem with Max Lighting (which switching on RR game automatically defaults to) lowers frame rate by 60% from Cinematic preset. It does give much, much improved lighting and shadowing model however, so it's balancing act in DLSS/FSR upscaling to accommodate for that.
I've also played it only a few hours - I like it from what I've seen so far, but it's not a game that I bought to play right now (it was more of a "support the developer" thing), since I don't have time for 200 hour marathon for foreseeable future that this type of game requires (at least the way I play them).

I've managed to make it pretty good by changes in settings both in Nvidia control panel, Nvidia app and in-game. HDR is a no-go, apparently. I also lowered foliage density since it was the most glaring source of noise and shadow issues. There's still quite a bit of pop-in, uneven draw distance, and some weird color-fringing on the ground where there's a lot of foliage. Patches are bound to come out quickly to correct these issues though, it's not unplayable, mostly annoying.

Transformers was fun and as expected short. This is another short one. Developed by SEGA AM2. It has 2 campaigns. One based on the movie and the other on the TV series. Only released in Japan. US got Battlecry and Invasion. Harmony Gold struck again.

Still got 2 weeks till Starfield launches on PS5 so gonna replay (my first replay of the year) Rift Apart.

I guess I was late to the party and if it was you who put me on it, thank you. However I did make one hell of a fuss on this site when I was playing it. |
Note to self. Finish E33, then play something retro, then Reqeuim, then something retro again, and then get to Stellar Blade.
No man's sky(ps5) for the first time ever.
Iam absolutly positively overwhelmned by the massive amount of content the game has.
