Nintendo should have bought Banjo-Kazooie and Conker from Microsoft instead of letting them rot on Xbox.

It would have been even better if in the end you got to beat Louie within inches of his life for all the trouble he caused.

Ever play the others? The first is still my favorite followed by 3.
Luigi Mansion 1 from GC, Xenoblade Chronicles X from Wii U, Astral Chain, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Fire Emblem Three Houses from Switch and Fire Emblem Awakening from 3ds
Prior to this generation I would have said Donkey Kong. The Donkey Kong Country games are some of my favorite games 2D games of all time. I'm actually going to go with Fire Emblem, which I didn't play a game in the series until the Switch. After playing Three Houses I went back and played a bunch of the older games and really enjoyed the games. I've always avoided Kirby games, as they looked too kiddy to me, but I've had a lot of fun with a few Kirby games on the Switch. I really enjoy the Luigi Mansion games, and the old Wario 2D games like Shake it and Wario World. Star Fox 64 blew me away back in the day. I didn't have the PS1 so all the cinematic, voice acting and the rumble features were incredible. Saying all that Fire Emblem is my next favorite game series after Zelda and Mario.
Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition
Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze (Wii U Version)
Rhythm Paradise Megamix
Golden Sun: The Lost Age
Punch-Out!! (NES)
Yeah Tropical Freeze would be up there for me as well, along with DKC1 and 2, for their phenomenal feel, level design, and music.
I'd also give honourable mentions to Starfox 1 and 64, and F-Zero GX, for being some of the most fun I had in their respective genres.
My favourite single player games are Xenoblade Chronicles X, Xenoblade Chronicles, Earthbound, and Fire Emblem 7: The Blazing Blade.
For Multiplayer: Wii Sports, Super Mario Kart (original, 64, Wii, 7, 8DX), and WarioWare Smooth Moves.
Single/Multiplayer games: Animal Crossing NH, the DKC trilogy, and Kirby Superstar, GE007, and (if it counts due to Nintendo’s involvement and publishing) Dragon Quest 9.
