I'm still on pS4 PRO and it's overheating a lot. I may be forced to upgrade to 9th gen (I feel like I should upgrade anway) but after the disastrous PS5 PRO announcement I'm considering why I should upgrade to PS5 at all. I seena lot of good stuff coming to Xbox and may even end up on gamepass. Games that are right up my ally and I'm quite bored of PS exclusives same third person stealth action cinematic big budget titles. The only 9th Gen game I really want is Baldurs Gate 3 and GTA6 when it comes. Xbox is now back on the cards for me and it'd be great to try something new so I ask...

Are you happy with Your Xbox? Which SKU do you have? Why are you happy or not with it? Do you feel hopeful for Xboxes future? How is the online community in MP games (They were toxic last time I had a 360). Do you wish you'd bought a PS5?

I'm not XSeries owner but have played my friend's console for a few times (XSX model) Overall it feels like an upgraded version of XOne to be honest. It's neither bad nor good thing. Just MS wanted to reduce boundaries between generations. It has almost the same XO controller, Windows-style Menu (although it had changes since XO era) and XOne library of games (but there're already many games for only this generation from 2021-2024 e.g. Amnesia: The Bunker, Lords of the Fallen, Jedi: Survivor, Deathloop, so on). XSX seems to be technically upgraded XO which also plays wide range of XS-only generation video games.

I've played almost only 3-party games on it. So, I can't talk a lot about Microsoft exclusive games. I played Forza: Motorsport 8 which is decent and impressive title (maybe the best Xbox title at the moment), also played Ori 2 and Gears 5. I played more Microsoft games on PC: State of Decay 2, Minecraft: Dungeons, Ghostwire: Tokyo. Some Microsoft games are quite good, some are worse. Some of Microsoft games were released on other platforms like Switch (Ori 2 case) or PS5 (Ghostwire: Tokyo case) because of different reasons.

There're a few levels of Xbox subscriptions, and each offers a certain catalogue of games. I don't know anything about community in multiplayer and coop games because I played almost SP games on XS.

Hate is a strong word…maybe unhappy? Or dislike? Something a little less aggressive? Lol.

My Series X has not had an idle month since launch. I would have to say my favorite thing so far is having my games always ready to go with the quick resume feature. I was first introduced to it on the Switch and loved it there as well. My backlog for One/Series games is quite massive, so I have no want or need for new games at the moment, but it doesn't stop me from buying basically every new RPG/JRPG that comes out.

With the rumor of FF pixel collection coming to Xbox and FFXVI (not as interested in this one due to gameplay mechanics, but will still purchase for collection completion) the Playstation offerings are becoming less relevant. I'm still going to miss out on Stellar Blade and the Final Fantasy VII remakes, but that is of no fault of Xbox.

These are in my Amazon saved for later cart awaiting my purchase.

Really looking forward to Avowed, Fable, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

For non RPG's yet to be released(which is rare for me to purchase), the next Forza Horizon, possibly GTA6 (I have never played one before), the new Gears, hopefully a Gears collection in development, and the next CoD that won't be held back by last generation consoles.

I'm sure I missed quite a few titles that I've seen in presentations that don't have a release date yet.

Here is my current sweetie that I'm in the process of courting.  As you can tell by my gameplay hours versus achievements, I am wooing her slowly and methodically.  I'm estimating a 300 plus hour on this honey before bedding her.

Each Xbox I've owned have created their own special memories and shared experiences with my siblings and son, but I do usually favor current generations.

I feel like Xbox could do a better job in marketing and creating excitement for the brand, but there seems to be little to no effort being exercised. A lack of clear messaging has also left me feeling confused at times.

Overall, I would say I'm happy and should have plenty to carry me over to the next generation.

...to avoid getting banned for inactivity, I may have to resort to comments that are of a lower overall quality and or beneath my moral standards.

I like the look of it (Halo themed console) standing next to the TV, but haven't used it to play a game in well over a year.

So I guess I'm not an XBox player anymore.

(Mostly because all my game time goes to VR nowadays, only Astrobot has managed to get me to game on TV again)

I got an Xbox 360 E late last year and an Xbox One X back in April. I don't regret my purchases. Series S doesn't appeal to me because other than faster load times it's not that much better than a One X. Series X/S don't have enough games I want to play that I can't play on Xbox One or PS5.
I voted other.

I like the hardware. I love the controller. I hate the people running it and what they have done to the brand in the last decade. They're in-depth and lying cunts. They seem to make every single wrong decision almost as if it were on purpose. It's baffling how bad they are. Xbox will never be as good as it was Original Xbox and 360 era. My SX is almost exclusively a BC console with the 6 XBO games I have and some BC 360 games. Later today when it arrives in the mail I will own. 2 SX games. Two. 60 or so for PS5. 160 on Switch. Granted only had the SX since April but even then just 2. Not great.

Bite my shiny metal cockpit!

Hardware is good. Software/Games is lacking... But it's an issue they share with the PS5 as well.

I have the Xbox app on PC, do I count as an Xbox player? Don't need to own an Xbox to be an Xbox player.

Anyway, yeah from a PC perspective Xbox is great. PC Gamepass is good value, and the games are also on Steam. Big games are starting to come now which is good news, how good they will be remains to be seen (hopefully great!)

I like the Series X and controller. I am extremely disappointed by how the Xbox division is being run at Microsoft
