- Take-Two CEO, Strauss Zelnick: “Rockstar's answer is just seek perfection; seek nothing short of perfection, and we'll get there."

2 billion so far is the cost!!!
I mean, even if it somehow is terrible it will make that back. But I wonder if it is like the movie industry where they need to make double just to break even? Then marketing is also added in and everything else so you need even more.

Your title has a misspelled word. "do far"

Very hyped for this. I do wish they would improve the combat and actually make it just good not great but just good.

Cheers on the misspelling, damn mobile keyboard. 2 Billion is INSANE and you know exactly where that cost will end up, stuff like retractable horse scrotum or whatever that is in GTA terms. The VA will be immaculate like RDR2. The graphics will be next level. The scope and all else will be something no one will be able to follow up with, only rockstar are in this position to push the boundaries. It's also in dev since 2014 which means it'll retain the Housers writing thank god. And yep, even if it's terrible there is no way it's gonna loose money, just like Cyberpunks hype this is a safe bet even if disaster hits. I don't expect disaster though, they seem to know exactly what they are doing and we wouldn't have had that trailer so early had it not been to combat leaks. It's safe to say we are looking at at least RDR2 levels of quality. Fingers crossed though that they try to break away from that linear mission design.

I mean, it's okay if you turn off aim assist but I get ya, those shooting mechanics on default is... why even bother, the game is playing itself.

Since they have their own publishers, they don't need to make twice but maybe more than 1.5 times. The marketing will be lesser than the cost of development.

The problem is the game is not made to turn if off cause the controls suck ass with them off and not balanced at all, unless you have a keyboard and mouse.

Yep. It certainly feels like you're at a disadvantage for sure.
