He also confirms that Sen. Mark Kelly is more or less out of the final picture here.
Biden aides also said the same, that Walz made Biden the happiest they've seen him and they joked that they should make Biden hang with Walz more often. Walz just makes everyone love him, we need that man to make the country love him!

I had Josh Shapiro no at 34 cents but sold it at 44. I didn't think Walz would flip as the favorite.
My Real Redneck friends
It's now official: Whether you prefer the polls favored by aggregator 538 or the ones favored by Real Clear Politics, Kamala Harris is now leading Donald Trump in overall popular support. In RCP's aggregation, she leads by +0.2 points and in 538's she leads by +1.9 points as of this evening. Detractors can gripe about it all they want, but fact is that it's really not that tough to see why. Harris has been running a vibrant, attractive campaign that has ditched her woke past in favor of fielding mainstream positions on the issues and on her record as a prosecutor at a moment wherein Americans want more law enforcement while embracing a populist tone and refusing to be baited. Don't believe me? Check out her standard stump speech, the original version which (which she does minor variations on at each stop on the campaign trail), can be seen here, delivered to a roaring audience of some 3,500.
What's more, her campaign's online presence has proven just plain fun and landed her firmly in the cool zone of mass meme-ification from the outset, which is where any Democratic candidate for president worth their salt belongs. The response of Trump and the Republicans to the Democrats' new candidate at the top of the ticket, meanwhile, has focused mainly on gripes about her ethnicity. She was a "DEI hire", so too black. Also and at the same time, she's not black enough. Otherwise they sexualize her (she is female, after all; it's inevitably what people do to you), claiming she "slept her way to the top", which I consider the most despicable allegation of them all. The latest great Harris scandal they've dreamed up is that she hugs people, oh my! Talk about pervy, creepy-ass shit. Where, you know, proudly fielding a sexual assault convict evidently is not. And neither definitely is his running mate's pathological fascination with the number of babies each woman in this country is having. Or, as today, they recourse to neurotically attacking each other over the last election instead of addressing this one. This is called not having a response.
Tomorrow we will see who Harris has chosen for her running mate. She has several strong options to choose from that will realistically only add to her campaign's appeal. That is all.

Also in Nate Silvers polling aggregate. It's actually shocking how much the polling shifted after Biden dropped out. People should be willing to admit, how much of a liability Biden was for the democratic campaign.

Yep. Haha that totally did age like expired milk. My thought process behind it was that Kamala would be a soft pick while the DNC works on resetting themselves and decide to bring Michelle Obama as the nominee. Since she appeals to the same demographics as Kamala boasts in her ads and rallies and Michelle has even more appeal since there is a more positive motivation and memory to the Obama name for the democrats. She would have presented the best shot for the Democrat party to win the election. |
Where the? Who in the world was talking Michelle Obama and that she would be the best shot at winning 2024? That absolutely, positively could not have come from anything centrist or left wing (or even honest right wing). Like this sounds like something the 5 on Fox would come up with. Might I suggest, with all true sincerity, ignore whoever spoke on that. Like never listen to another word they speak. They not only lied to you but used you and insulted your intelligence.

Hate for Trump is derived from a love of others. His rhetoric, actions, ego and policies hurt people. And he shows no remorse for it. I cannot find redeemable qualities in someone that denigrates my wife, disparages my oldest son and his girlfriend, and that sent my mother in law back overseas after living here for 40+ years to die (3 months later). He instigates, he promotes, he sides with, and he enables the worst in my country.
To the privileged, equality feels like oppression.
