Should be an interesting next 4 years.
On the bright side, he can't get re-elected for a 3rd term, so whatever damage that is caused will just get undone by the next administration, it's a cycle.

Trump is very good at playing the victim, but also self-promoting, claiming he has achieved things no one else has, yet never elaborates on any specifics to be as ambiguous as possible to cover up that he hasn't done anything, it's paid off for him in spades. - It's ironically the same tactic that horoscopes use, ambiguity can have wide applications of relevancy in peoples minds.
The assassination attempts, the support from Elon Musk, Joe Rogan backing him... Has just propelled him forwards by leaps and bounds.

Maybe... Just maybe... He might actually build a wall to keep illegal immigrants, drugs and crime out that he promised and failed to deliver last time.

***

In regards to his criminal convictions, I assume he has just been handed the power to sweep them under the rug? I'm not the most adept at trying to work out the legal circus in the USA, so I am unsure how that will progress (or not) going forth.
Not that I believe just because you are a leader that you should be exempt from criminal convictions anyway, if anything it should be even more necessary as leaders are meant to set an example.

Yeah the border bill was too late. The dems and the left in Europe as well happily accepted to be seen they’re the open border politicians and repeatedly self described themselves as such. The self inflicted damage was going to be hard to fix when there are recent videos upon videos of those very same people welcoming every body.

These last minute pivots on immigration policies have taken place in multiple countries in Europe as well but they have done nothing to change the voters’ minds.

Mind you; I don’t believe Trump will fix the issue either but this is how politics work, narrative over substance.

I wish a proper primaries had taken place but it’s too late now. It might have not changed the outcome but there are other benefits to primaries outside of landing a nominee for one election cycle. The dems have no clear leaders and no politician to turn toward. No one was stressed tested or had their charisma examined besides Dean Philips….

Why are you calling out the Europeans? Wtf is your problem? Lol.

What Europeans even consistently posted in this thread before aside from me? FWIW 4 Europeans liked my previous comment.

Europeans are probably pissed off that America has backstabbed us and looking on in disbelief but we have a lot bigger fucking problems to deal with now thanks to America, like the massive imperialist country called Russia invading European countries and threatening us 24/7. Sorry if Europeans aren't rushing in to apologise to you, we've got far bigger problems to deal with now.

Is America at threat from Russia? No. So spare me the whining about how Europeans are avoiding this thread.

My problem?  A bunch of Europeans told me for months I didn't know middle America, despite living there for 42 years.  Meanwhile the people telling me I was wrong haven't stepped foot in that area and have been an annoying combination of clueless and arrogant.

The amount of utter BS posted in this thread is shameful, like I've been saying for a hundred pages.  You all do not know what you are talking about.

Seems to me like you just want people to bow down to you and say "Oh Chrkeller. You was right all along! How do we apologise to you!"

Most people here were saying it would be a close race, I said inflation was a big hurdle to overcome and there was a good chance Trump would win but we needed to work with what we had and remain positive, keep fighting until the very end. We have to deal with what we have now. People have far bigger issues to worry about than making sure your ego is stroked.

What other Europeans told you that you don't know a thing about America?

Alright, I'll bite. What should've liberals done to connect to middle America other than be more conservative?

Drop special interest groups and focus on the economy -> stock market, low unemployment, GDP growth, inflation following from 9% to 3%, housing prices cooling off.  Things people actually care about.

I disagree, you cannot cite people math to convince them the economy is better when they don't feel it. Want to talk about coming off like an elitist that doesn't understand middle America can you imagine a bunch of people saying "our lives are worse than they were four years ago" and you reply with "well the GDP is growing and inflation is cooling off to its desired amount of 3%"?

Yeah, I am owed an apology. I told you, and many others, betting firms were not stupid.  I told you liberals didn't have middle america appeal.  I was mocked and questioned by people who ZERO US experience.  I was right, eat your crow.

Assuming that the pendulum swings back the Democrats' way in four years' time. History suggests it probably will, as it's surprisingly rare for someone to be elected to succeed a sitting president from the same party (since the Civil War there's only been Rutherford Hayes, James Garfield, Herbert Hoover, and George H.W. Bush, once you take out the former VPs who succeeded a deceased president mid-term and then won an election in their own right), but it really depends on the Democrats finding the right candidate and the Republicans not being able to find someone with Trump's appeal.

He probably won't because he didn't fix it the first time around but this time he is hinting he will be a lot more fascist about it like bringing up the Aliens Enemy Act which was used to put Japanese-Americans in concentration camps.

But then again, it's the common thing with right wing parties, they'll scream about the border/immigration then do nothing about it when they get into power, sometimes, it gets even worse, Lmao. I think it's because they don't want to fix it, they know it's their best way into power, giving people a common enemy is very effective and pinning all of a countries problems on that enemy is also very effective to distract people from other issues. Not to say uncontrolled migration doesn't have its own problems but it's often used to cover up many other problems caused by governments themselves, or rich people.

I think Shapiro is the clear leader, he is basically Obama but white, the safest choice with little baggage, aside from his previous comments on Israel/Gaza but in about 4 years from now, sadly, Gaza won't exist. Trump won't be running in 28 and Republicans will have difficulty finding someone with his charisma.

I'm sure the Europeans worried about their safety and their neighbour being brutally slaughtered top priority right now is apologising to you. Get over yourself man, it's pathetic that this is what you're seemingly most concerned about. But maybe if you tag those Europeans they will come apologise to you for what they seemingly did.

I'm sorry for saying it would be a tight race with a chance that Trump could win due to inflation.

Go ahead and tag these other Europeans and demand an apology, Lol.

Admitting being wrong is seen as unacceptable by some, in some spaces. Unacceptable because it can be used against you, so best to just avoid it, some think. Especially if it happens too often, because long lists are even more useful when used against you.

Then there's those who are always right. Lucky them...

Exactly, well said.
