Yeah the border bill was too late. The dems and the left in Europe as well happily accepted to be seen they’re the open border politicians and repeatedly self described themselves as such. The self inflicted damage was going to be hard to fix when there are recent videos upon videos of those very same people welcoming every body.
These last minute pivots on immigration policies have taken place in multiple countries in Europe as well but they have done nothing to change the voters’ minds.
Mind you; I don’t believe Trump will fix the issue either but this is how politics work, narrative over substance.
I wish a proper primaries had taken place but it’s too late now. It might have not changed the outcome but there are other benefits to primaries outside of landing a nominee for one election cycle. The dems have no clear leaders and no politician to turn toward. No one was stressed tested or had their charisma examined besides Dean Philips….
