40 is correct, the other two are wrong. Breath of the Wild was in the previous set of games at 42.

43. Wario Land: Shake it!
This game plays out like almost like a Saturday morning cartoon, only instead of the hero you play as his jerk rival. FMV cut scenes were a nice touch and the cartoonish art style flows perfectly from those into the actual gameplay. There is waggle-tech since it's a Wii game, but I actually enjoyed how it was implemented. You can grab enemies, then shake the Wiimote like hell to literally shake the coins out of them, before tossing them as a projectile. The game is a bit on the easy side, but it was so full of personality that I had to seek out every last collectible that Wario had set his greedy little heart on.

I was waiting to finish Super Mario Bros. Wonder before finalizing my list. Now that I know if it made the cut, here is my first set of clues:

#50 - the middle part of this trilogy will be remastered in February 2024
#49 - it might not be a darling of competitive play, but fans love it for its single-player content
#48 - a 2011 article called this 2021 title a game "that seems cursed to never see the light of day"
#47 - ask for me tomorrow, and you shall find me a grave mind
#46 - without Resident Evil and Onimusha, this PS2 game would probably not exist

#50 - Didn't know you were also a Tomb Raider II fan!

#49 - The Smash Bros. game that released on Wii maybe?

#48 - Psychonauts 2?

48) Could be Metroid Dread?

47) "grave mind" makes me think Halo, but not sure which one. 3 maybe?

#49 is right! Super Smash Bros. Brawl

#48 is incorrect, but hold on to that guess for the top 30!

#48 is right on the money. Metroid Dread

#47 is close enough! Halo 2

Some more clues.
45
- The protagonist has to enter people’s dreams in order to progress through this adventure.
- The word ‘adventures’ was part of the title of this game in Europe. The NTSC version simply had the protagonist’s name as the title.
- An exclusive to one of Nintendo’s competitors, it took a lot of influence from the early Zelda titles of previous generations.

45. Alundra

Yes, that's correct. I don't think anyone got this last year, so I'm glad it got guessed this time round.
