$399.99, because of inflation. -_-

$399 with good specs and no/few gimmicks. They can always pricedrop and/or release a cheaper model a couple of years later.
The "expensive doesn't work for Nintendo" argument should have died with the Switch launch, but people forgot how they were dooming the hell out of the Switch before launch, arguing that it was "too expensive" for a Nintendo system.
I hope Nintendo doesn't cheap out.
449 for the premium version.
399 for the standard version
349 for the standard version if one pays for one year of nintendo online at the same time which I expect a significant price increase for and ditching of the switch online expansion pass. and increased features.
Its gotta be close to 400 for the standard edition. Tho there will most likely be a cheaper and expensive versions like the current Switch with Lite and Oled.
My prediction would be similar power to the Series S. Would like more Ram but less Tflops. $400 for the LCD with 64gb of storage, and above 400 for the Oled with 128gb. The problem would be the different prices in different regions. Since Japan is a key market for Nintendo, I wonder how they would tackle this on-going weak yen situation. If its priced at $400, that would make it closer to 60,000 yen in Japan. Nearly PS5 level prices. However, this shouldn't be that much of an issue if the current Switch gets a price cut.

Depends on how you define too expensive. I think above $400, and especially, $500, would absolutely be a major mistake.
While many are arguing inflation as the reason for the switch 2 being more expensive, that cuts both ways. Inflation means people have less disposable income. $450 to $500 would be a terrible idea.
I'd say 399. Oled at 349 was them testing the waters and it didn't negatively effect the sales or had any backlash.
Besides, it will most likely be a hybrid once again.
No one would have a problem in paying a 100$ premium for a more powerful Switch, and they (Nintendo) know it.
I’d say $349.99 at the least. I wouldn’t be surprised if the successor started at $399.99. My problem is that I don’t know how to compute exactly how these rumored specs and features cost altogether for a hybrid console. Then you have to wonder about the Joy Cons and their potential upgrades in the successor, along with how much RAM and flash memory will be in the hardware and how much those cost per unit, respectively.
Even though the price points I mentioned are, personally, reasonable, it will be interesting how people will react to the successor and compare it to the other consoles such as Xbox Series S and the potential PS5 Slim (or whatever it’s gonna be called).

It's about what I expect, too.
Does anybody have an idea how much the Tegra Orin NX (the most likely choice for a Switch 2) would cost to Nintendo? Having that price would give us a good idea what the final price tag could be, as the other components are more or less a known quantity.

I'm sure they will charge 400 and you will buy 3 copies for your home anyway. You know why I think that? Because people argued Switch 300 USD was too expensive. And people who have bought multiple DS/3DS were never going to buy multiple Switches because 300 (now 350 with OLED) was too expensive
Seems like 350 USD is actually not at all expensive as OLED is the best selling SKU right now
400 for a base model, 450 for a premium model e maybe 300 USD for a Lite (handheld only) is the way to go this time.

$400 I would probably get two, not three, with a second dock. $500 yeah I'll be getting one.
Price matters.
And I never argued $300 was too expensive. I will argue inflation cuts both ways. Disposable income is tight for many, price matters. Above $400 isn't a good idea.
