They chose to buy it on Switch, so that's really on them. Others wanting it on PC/PS5 shouldn't have to suffer at the expense of those who feel buyers remorse.

I feel like Atlus should be aiming to reach more people, not satisfy someone making sure their purchase on Switch feels super special due to exclusivity.

Pretty sure it's not about the exclusivity, but the fact that they would have preferred to play the game at higher resolutions and framerates, so they would have not purchased the Switch version of they knew it was coming to PS5/PC.

Don't think anyone is suggesting they have buyer's remorse because they wanted it to stay exclusive.

Yes, I should have clarified that a bit better in my original post

"I see a lot of buyers remorse coming from people who wanted the game on other platforms but bought the switch version because they thought it was going to stay exclusive. Now that is is rumoured to be coming to playstation Xbox and pc, people are saying they wasted time and money on the switch version when they wanted it on other systems

They still have played 2 years early, which is much more than most of timed exclusives nowadays

Almost every third party exclusive become multiplat eventually, even if years later... looking at you Persona

Nintendo fans seems to live in a perpetual state of panic of third parties leaving Nintendo for any small reason

Great oldschool rpg. I loved the simple yet effective battle system and the strong atmosphere. And the music is also amazing imo. I couldn't follow the bizarre story, though.

I have no remorse. I finished it twice and one of my fave Atlus games in years. Fanfuckingtastic game. More people should experience it. If I had one issue it's that compared to Nocturne the story is much weaker. Otherwise, the art is great. The music is fantastic. There is a reason to play Nocturne then play this. Not saying what and no it's not the DLC. But also Nocturne is not required either just makes some things make more sense.

You would be shockingly surprised, outside of this site that is.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Enjoyed SMT V a lot on Switch. Definitely hope we get a version for PS, Xbox, and PC.

Without naming anyone, I know art is subjective in a loads of aspect but gosh the one who just insulted the OST of the game has to be a troll to make such a statement.

Game is fantastic in a lot of ways. Gotta finish the last dungeon but my playthrough was wonderful and everything I expect from the series was present. Exploring these more open-spaces was definitely a big highlight of this game.

Kinda sad that the name seems to imply that this edition wouldn't be much of an upgrade to the base game content wise appart from prolly including the DLC's from the get go.

Anywoo, still a rumor for now so we have yet to see the truth revealed !

Are SMT games any good? I might be interested if it comes to Steam. I've heard they're like a sister series to Persona, but don't know much about them beyond that.

Yes they are really good.

Persona was originally a spin-off of SMT - the first 3 Persona games (Persona 1, Persona 2 Eternal Punishment and Persona 2 Innocent Sin) all played like old school SMT.

You can buy SMT3 on Steam right now.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1413480/Shin_Megami_Tensei_III_Nocturne_HD_Remaster/

SMT1/2 is currently locked on NES/SNES and was on mobile but got delisted

SMT3 is on all modern platforms

SMT4 and SMT4 Apocalypse is on 3DS only

SMT5 is on Switch only (for now with this rumor)

There's also SMT Soul Hackers which was on Sega Saturn and PS1 but was released on 3DS

SMT Strange Journey which was on DS but remade for 3DS

SMT Devil Survivor 1 and 2 which were both on DS but remade for 3DS.

There's also a few others as well which were on Playstation 1/2 as well.

I'm just going to throw it out there. I am not a fan of the Digimon series by any means but Cybersleuth games are really good and play a lot like SMT just more simplified. Tho former SMT artists did work on it. Switch. PS4. PC.
