Demon bosses are not easy, they are gimmicky

If you never played the original and don't follow internet guides they can be quite tiresome to deal with. Fools Idol for instance is annoying to fight if you don't kill a specific NPC before the combat

Demon is fantastic, but has its problems. First you're killed and sometimes sent back to the start of the level. There are levels that really felt like roguelike mazes to traverse and you take 5 to 10 minutes to reach the boss again, making it tiresome to master the boss battle and finally defeat them

Horrible design if you think because this game is much much harder than a Roguelike. Dark Souls acknowledge this problem and at least puts a bonfire before boss fights

Loot management is ass, too much trash on your inventory and if you take sometime you can infinitely farm healthy items (I definitely did)

Character tendency is quite obnoxious and not explained, it was a missed opportunity

And of course the fact the 5 world's are not interconnected is a huge downgrade from Souls (although in this case is Souls the one who is the upgraded version)

If you are an experienced Souls player it's a easier game to cheese. Nothing like the brutality of Souls 1 or 2 who seems to take pride in torture the player

For me I love demon because it allows the player to choose what worlds to tackle, after the first battle.

You can do that with an open world, like in Elden Ring. I find the worlds mechanic outdated, I tolerate them on plataformers because they last just a few minutes, but not work as well for me in Demon's. First, unless you're a master it's REALLY hard to explore an world from start to finish because of how quickly the enemies get stronger. The fifth and fourth worlds already have a big difficult spike, I've tried both a couple of times and was never able to progress before beating 1-2, 2-2 and 3-1 and getting enough levels/weapon upgrades

I would agree with you about  Elden Ring  if it had  a story that wasn't so bad, and had some interesting characters. Like i been playing for 70 hours and have no clue to whats's going on. Side quests for NPC's are hard to understand and follow with out using a guide which sucks. I much prefer the way sikero tells the story where i don't need to watch a youtube video to understand whats's going on, and even then it's till hard to understand.

I find the story fantastic too. It's very Martin-like, it's basically family soap opera drama with demigods, really screams A Song of Ice and Fire to me. I don't find it hard to understand at all, you just need to patiently talk to NPCs and out the pieces together

But I agree many NPC quests are impossible to do without a guide. First because you don't how how to trigger them, and don't have any update whatsoever about its status. There are way too many of them (I guess more than 20), the odds is that you won't finish more than 5 if you play blindly. I remember I somehow managed to go too far in Rannis quest (the longest of the game imo) playing blindly, but at some point she basically vanished and I never found her again

Then I given up and decided to look for a tutorial, and seems like I needed to go to Hanni's mom, Rennala, chamber, open a chest and get a ring in order to proceed the quest, that's close to impossible to do without looking for a guide, I get they wanted to make things hard, but they should at least give better clues. I did it anyway and got the Hanni's ending, which is my favorite ending so it was worth it

Yea the NPC problem is not that bad in small open world game like blooborne/sikero but in a massive open world game it's a problem, and really some guided quests could have added more to the story/characters and gameplay  variety.

As for the story even when watching videos i still struggle to explain it to someone. The fingers, the Erdtree and why am i'm  killing these demigods lol. I guess i just think of it like this, the queen used the Elden ring  powers to remove death and that  ended up making the world a living hell and its your job to get the elden ring and restore the world to normal order i guess.

Can we refocus on the topic please, the thread's about if Nintendo waits a long time to replace the Switch, not From Software's games.

I think it's been answered. at this point Nintendo can't lose. I honestly think the switch can sell 200 million. The only question is looking at revenue Sony has double to what Nintendo does, so does Nintendo wanna go after Sony marketshare hard or focus on making profit day one on hardware.

How much money Sony makes doesn't matter to Nintendo, nor are they gonna be losing any sleep over whether Switch or PS5 sells more units. What they care about is that their own business is healthy and thriving, which it is.

Well if they are just focused on making profital hardware no reason for switch 2 to release till 2025. I mean we have never seen a console sell like this with out discounts and why would they wanna end it unless they wanna go after Sony marketshare. The hardware and software is on fire.

Ideally, you want to transition while your brand is still hot, not wait until its dying. You don't want to end up in a position where your next system is still a while away but your current one is running out of steam.

I think one of the worst offenders is you cannot get some texts more than one time. Sometime the NPC gives you clues about the quests and History and if miss them puff, it's gone. It's so unforgiving, I love it lol

Basically, you're a tarnished. One of the ones who lost the Grace of the Eldtree and banished from the lands in between. The NPCs you find on the round table hold, the hub of the game, lead by Gideon are almost all tarnished like Rogier, Fia, Roderika, etc

The demigods are the bearers of the fragments of the Elden Ring. After Queen Marika, the Eternal, got crazy because her first son and heir, prince Godwyn, The Golden, was murdered she broken the Elden Ring. Because of that nobody can die anymore. Your mission as a tarnished is to beat the bearers of the rings, some of them being Marika children, and to become the Elden Lord, which is kind of the consort of Queen Marika, and restore the world.

The fingers are manifestation of the will of the outer gods, there many of them and each of them wants a different thing for the lands in between. The 2 fingers specifically are manifestation of the Great Will, one of the demigods which wants to restore queen Marika as the ruler of the lands. Many of the side quests of the game is to swore allegiance to other factions/gods, which can lead to alternative endings

The damn switch hasn't even had a price cut going into 7 years and still selling like crazy. Ideally from business stand point you would wait till you need a price cut to move consoles, its still selling crazy good with no real sign of slowing down. so I see no reason they would wanna shoot themselves in the foot and release a powerful switch 2 for 350$ which will be probably be at loss, unless they wanna go for the playstation audience which makes sense since every company wants to find new ways to grow.

Thanks, but why were they banished and became tarnished. I still vastly prefer the way sikero story was told, I don't even know what the reason for the Ranna 3 sisters side quest or can't remember.
