Thank you man.

The real battle is Switch 2023 vs. 2019 until week 38 (launch of Switch Lite). ^^

Yup, if the baseline of the Switch continues to turn around the 50K mark. This year will actually give 2019 another run for it's money !

Also, Kirby dethroned again by a Minecraft game

Did PS4 really sell 224 ytd last year?

There's no way NSW is touching 2019 JP numbers. Holiday quarter 2019 will wipe the floor with 2023, doesn't matter how close it can stay to that year.

Holiday 2022 was nowhere near Holiday 2019 despite the strength of Splatoon 3 & Scarlet/Violet. I think Q4 2022 was the all time record for software for any device in Japan, as was 2022 overall, yet the Q4 hardware was nowhere near 2019.

Go Cuphead xD

Over 5 million copies of Minecraft sold in Japan and all Legends manages is a 13.5k debut on its leading platform.

With sales this healthy in a quiet stretch, Switch is really gonna come alive when Tears of the Kingdom hits.

Still, it goes to show how attractive the platform is for anytime during the year really. The fact it can manage to be competitive with it's third year is a big feat nonetheless.

Yes, there were barely any PS4 sold in Japan for all of 2022 up until the end of November if my memory serves me right.
