"Various open-world content" does it mean another kind of level builder game like Little Big Planet?

The "various content" sounds like many different things can exist in this open world.

I think pretty much every game has "various content" it's too generic to get anything out of it.

Media Molecule have previously said it's "more of a game than a creative tool." Though that doesn't necessarily mean it won't have any user creations.

Sounds like they aren't building upon their Dreams engine, which is disappointing. A lot of potential in that engine, and ppl are still making crazy stuff.

Still, hope this has a relaxing vibe while being an open-world.

Just let Geoff announce Br€ak In at his show. Everyone wins just don’t let him announce it as the “one more thing” 👀

We've had multiplayer games as the one more thing twice for a Geoff show with Last of Us Online (cancelled) and Highguard (shut down March 12). So hopefully Geoff has learned to have a single-player game as the one more thing.

Days of Play starts tomorrow and the usual 33% off PS+ 12 month subs for new/upgrading members is back.

I ended my sub which ran out on the 25th so I could get this offer lol. With Shopto wallet codes as well should be able to get 12 months premium for about £70-£75.

It's that time of year again and I'll be doing to same I'm just glad you can still get good priced wallet codes to remove the sting of inflated digital prices.

Ooooof, I forgot about this GDC presentation lol. Context: This was Bungie's now current CEO speaking. Bungie's entire launch to stardom was built on overdelivering.

That entire presentation actually gets more depressing as you watch. He goes further on about how Halo had critical acclaim, cultural relevance, popularity, and high game sales. When it came to Destiny, it was not considered a good game critically, yet they noticed that players were playing the game endlessly, which led to a new mindset at the studio.....engagement.

They even got rid of the company motto, "we make games we want to play," because it was "gatekeeping for bald middle-aged white guys, like me" not even realizing they had built up a playerbase of tens of millions for YEARS that also wanted to play the games they made.

The whole presentation is about an hour long and is now 3 years old, but it really shows everything wrong with Bungie's mindset. He even puts up a slide on how the game's design is fully data-driven. And now that this guy is in charge of the studio, I can't imagine it'll get any better.

Yes, that is true, basically any open-world game could be described as having various kinds of content, it's still a bit strange sounding to be honest.

I sure hope they do have something that can be popular this time, can't say enough how creative those guys are.

Got 12 months of PS+ Premium in the sale, used a wallet code from shopto to get an extra £10 free so worked out as being only £70.63 for the year.

That's my Portal sorted for cloud streaming at under £6/month.

The Witcher 3 really got a new expansion announced as it was rumored. A game from 2015 getting an expansion out of the blue in 2027.

Seems like it is 9th gen only, I have yet to play the game on PS4 so I guess I'll end up playing on PS5 instead.

Man … you know what, Witcher 3 might have taken a few attempts to get into (3 to enjoy it and 4 to fall completely in love) but god, I’m excited 😁

Ride The Chariot | ‘26 Completed

Season 2 to have an open week of play. It's fun finally seeing a suggestion I made actually become reality lol.

I think it's a very good idea especially since everyone starts from 0 every season. They should make this a reoccurring concept for every season, open it up to everyone for a few days.

Rest of the season sounds really cool.

The whole Destiny community drama vs Sony is very funny to me, it's like watching a kid learning the concept of lasting consequences for the very first time LOL. Who would have thought that if you stop buying a product that product could be discontinued forever.

The idea of Destiny as an experience being done is sad but I didn't play Destiny 2 so I can only see the situation from the perspective of a PS fan and if Bungie won't have the numbers to make MMO-like experiences anymore I wouldn't mind if Sony decides that they have to make single players now. Hard to believe Sony won't be desperate enough to make that call when being a good game wasn't enough for Marathon (that btw was top 50 sales on steam for the first time in so long and the game only got a skin).

And all of this actually make the LFG situation that much interesting. What happens if that game succeeds? Would Sony ask Bungie to be more like them when LFG was part of Bungie? LOL.
