Forums - Sony - PlayStation |OT| Playing Astro Bot on the Horizon Until Dawn

Just saw this on reddit, seems like some tease for Intergalactic inspirations. Maybe there will be something at the SoP, even more that it'll be in a teather so big showing can be expected.

Also fun that the TLoU VHS box is divided in 3 parts, how I which this was a Part 3 tease lol.

GOD DAMN, Bungie cooking with that final Destiny 2 update!!! They put out a huge chunk of info, including the proper returns of some amazing weapons that were previously sunset. Looks like they're bringing back a type of Escalation Protocol with Distortions, something that was only on Mars, and....vaulted lol.

As much as I hate that we're never getting back the vaulted content, especially the raids, at least we're getting those raid bosses back in some form. I'm excited to see what else is being added. Massive update, almost expansion level, and quite the banger to end on.

I may finally return to just enjoy the game and play all the raids and dungeons I've missed out on over the last few years. Especially now that I don't have to worry about seasonal stuff.

EDIT: After reading the entirety of today's announcements (more being announced tomorrow) if Bungie released all the vaulted content and brought the Wrath of the Machine raid from D1, D2 would feel like it's in the perfect position to get its sendoff.

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind

You know, today's flood of announcements is both incredibly exciting and incredibly infuriating. On the one hand, it's amazing that we're finally getting so many changes and additions that the community has been begging for YEARS, but then on the other hand, that's the problem. It's been YEARS! This entire update proves that Bungie was indeed listening the entire time and was just refusing to give the community what they've been asking for.

Ironically, it coincides with the post I made a couple of days ago about Justin Truman, Bungie's new CEO, speaking at GDC in 2023 with the slide "beware of overdelivering," because that's exactly what Bungie is doing with this update lol. This update alone would've revitalized the Destiny community in a massive way that would've allowed them to continue with their smaller expansions. Missed opportunity yet again.

Oh and apparently, Bungie devs pushed for a "Destiny Infinity," a kind of relaunch of Destiny 2, in place of a proper Destiny 3, which would've been perfect since Marathon 3 was called Marathon Infinity lol. They would've established a new story arc and gone back to major annual expansions. That idea was obviously shelved.

Wow......Bungie dropped the sandbox changes for the final D2 update, and I must say, bravo! The sandbox team deserves a standing ovation for this. They left no stone unturned in identifying changes that would allow players to constantly experiment with builds for years. There's going to be another article dropping in less than an hour, going over PvP and rewards for the new permanent activity in Pantheon that brings back the vaulted raid bosses. I'm excited to check it out!

Legit have not been this excited for Destiny in a long time, and it's bittersweet that it's all for the final update.

I wonder if the new leaked Rayman remake will include Astrobot as a character. Since it's rumoured to be at the SOP.

Got the Pulse Elite headset for essentially free.

I'm excited to try them out but I've seen reviews about their durability. I think I may just limit it to single player, narrative driven games, in order to extend its usage. Anyone got impressions?

Yeah build quality is kinda flimsy, but the headset itself works great on sound/mic quality. There were a LOT of connection issues for the first year, but looks like Sony finally patched them out. So make sure firmware is up to date.

I had a feeling the Flex Strike would release alongside Marvel Tokon lol. Confirmation of that along with the price being at $199. Includes the carrying case.

The gaming monitor is in the mid range at $350. Doesn't seem all that appealing outside of the included charging stand, which is admittedly a nice touch.

It seems like some Persona 6 characters leaked, so maybe we can have a reveal at the SoP? Would be amazing.
