Forums - Sony - PlayStation |OT| Playing Astro Bot on the Horizon Until Dawn

It’s been said that Destiny 3 has still not been greenlit because of how much it’ll cost to develop. That’s why it should’ve been greenlit by Bungie management 5 years ago when Destiny 2 was at its most profitable and the end of the Light and Dark Saga had a release year known!

On the bright side, 80,000 signatures on the Destiny 3 petition in 1 day. So hopefully that gets so large it can’t be ignored lol

But yes, I'M (let me make sure to write it uppercase as well, so I'm the focus as you did), the one wanting bad things to happen.

I mean, you are though.

Instead of hoping a game can succeed, you want it to actively crash and burn.

Instead of wanting people to remain employed for as long as possible, you want them to lose their jobs.

Yes, cancelling the game saves Sony money. it most definitely doesn't help the devs at this junction.

If D3 hasn't be greenlit at this point, then I honestly don't see it happening. Best thing for the franchise and for Bungie is how they can be pivoted to function more within Sony's traditional operations. I am pretty confident that Destiny can still function as a co-op/ MP type experience, just something not as a live service title.

A co-op rougelite experience could work. A more traditional narrative based campaign could work. I don't think Destiny as an IP needs to live or die as decade long live service. The environment has shifted in the last 10 years. There's more online experiences, fewer of them are really maintaining numbers needed for big content changes. But more curated experiences that focus on the co-op/ social side of things can still find an audience.

There are some other posters here who agree that remaking the Marathon games with the current engine makes a lot of sense. But I think Destiny could get new experiences at the same time.

Please, prove it.

I've never, ever, expressed any kind of desire to see the game crash and burn, not did I ever wish for any single game dev to lose their jobs, ever, unless I did many years ago for some massive asshole, which I still can't remember ever doing it.

Your made you shit is starting to sound personal, and if that's the case, you can go fuck yourself.

There is some speculation from Mystic that Fairgames (now Break In) could possibly have a more grounded art style, which I think I'd personally prefer. Though I wonder what that means for the craziness the game was aiming for.

Just let Geoff announce Br€ak In at his show. Everyone wins just don’t let him announce it as the “one more thing” 👀

Resume of a senior environment designer at media molecule revealed details of their next game.

It is an openworld, new IP. Since this was shared around the internet he's now removed all details of his work on the project.

Days of Play starts tomorrow and the usual 33% off PS+ 12 month subs for new/upgrading members is back.

I ended my sub which ran out on the 25th so I could get this offer lol. With Shopto wallet codes as well should be able to get 12 months premium for about £70-£75.

"Various open-world content" does it mean another kind of level builder game like Little Big Planet?

The "various content" sounds like many different things can exist in this open world.

I think pretty much every game has "various content" it's too generic to get anything out of it.

Media Molecule have previously said it's "more of a game than a creative tool." Though that doesn't necessarily mean it won't have any user creations.
