Didn't Sony raise prices just last year? This is getting ridiculous.

Is it because the RAM price problem ? If that's the case everybody will face the same problem.

Picked up a second hand portal for only £100. Pleasantly surprised by the number of ps5 titles that support cloud streaming already. Hopefully more of the PS4 library is added soon.

Works perfectly with my setup.

Hopefully not a single soul buy a PS5 from now on.

Yeah I’ve said for a while everything in our modern world uses RAM. 20 years ago, it was very few devices.

Now it’s VR headsets, tablets, laptops, smartphones, your smart refrigerator, washer/dryer, TVs, your damn car lol, and the list goes on. So much competing for the same availability of RAM. Then suddenly AI data centers start getting built en masse that requires half of the entire worlds supply.

Yup, I knew it. Works like a charm.

Still, it was way worse than what I could imagine.

Playstation announced the price increases in Brazil as well and... they are nowhere near close what I expected.

Actually, the PS5 Pro price was raised less than either the PS5 or PS5 D, it raised by R$500 while both versions of the Slim raised by R$600 each.

The PS5 Pro just doesn't sell around here, the official price was R$7000 like it was $700 in the US, now it's R$7500 while it is $900 in the US.

PS5 Pro since last holidays was constantly on sale and I saw it being R$ 4800 during Black Friday and several times being R$ 5300 this year, nowhere near the official price already, and it still doesn't sell. I can see it being sold at R$ 5000 this BF despite the massive price increase in the whole world. That's the price the regular PS5 released here in 2020.

A 2TB SSD compatible with the PS5 costs around R$ 2500+ around here now, that's more than half the price of the Pro I saw last BF.

I really don't want one, and I don't need one either, but I need more space, it would be stupid to buy a SSD nowdays. What the actual fuck, the PS5 Pro is looking like a "decent" deal.

I'm considering a 4TB external HDD just to store the games but those are already quite expensive as well. And I just discovered a Toshiba HDD I have on the PC actually doesn't work with it. It does work, but it won't transfer games to it properly, it slows to nearly stillness after around 12GB is transfered. My Seagate HDD for the PS4 does work on it tho.

I guess Brazil was already so fucked up that they really can't follow up the Pro hike as they are doing everywhere else.

Despite Marathon doing worse everyday since release and still in that trend, seems like Bungie does want to keep improving it "for years to come".

I don't know how long they can convice Sony to keep it up when the playerbase keep getting smaller, but if they do have time to keep working on it at least someday they may struck an audience, but they really are due to add an story mode and expand it to a complete new audience. I may try it myself if so (and if there is a physical version with the story content on it).

They are definitely developing Destiny 3 right now, and they will be fully into Playstation Studios by this year's end, I firmly believe that, so best of luck to them.

If I am not mistaken, the story in Marathon 2026 is told pretty much how it is in the trilogy. It's not lacking a story mode, just that the gameplay loop is not a level-be-level design of a SP game. 

But I do think remakes of the original trilogy, even if released standalone, could be helpful. 

With the recent price hikes I cancelled my PS+ subscription.

I'm not in the crowd of "Playstation Evil!" but none the less they're the most profitable they've ever been and so pushing  the price of hardware to such a level whilst they milk their existing userbase doesn't feel right to me.
