It's just 1 image but it looks so bad I originally believed it to be a joke earlier today when I first saw it.
Bloodborne is one of my alltime favorites, but do we really need a remake this early? It's a PS4 game ffs. Anything before a late PS6 release is unnecessary. There's just no way FromSoftware is wasting their time on a remake, a basic remaster makes more sense.
A sequel is actually more believable, as Miyazaki once expressed desire and pretty much said it was up to Sony to geeenlight it. Imagine Bloodborne 2 as a PS6 launch title AAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!!! 😩 IN MY VEINS.

Wow... almost makes me wish I had gotten a Pro instead, but the deal on the Slim was too good at the time for me to ignore it. Looks great. Bodes well for PS6. Bodes well for the handheld. And I think this once again proves why Sony released a Pro model: all of these updates to PSSR are going to be instrumental for their future hardware.

I agree with your positives. To a degree I agree with the above. While prox chat is not on by default, one of the first choices you make before playing is regarding this. That said, I haven't found prox chat to be useful at all any of my successful or unsuccessful runs. Seems like something that'll affect the launch version more.
Enemy AI I think is fine: you can kill fast if hitting the heads (from what I can tell). What I personally hate is the TTK: you can be easily mowed down by a single AI enemy. I do think the more you play the more you can manage these sort of situations and I'm a lot better surviving and taking enemies.
My last run I got 1 Runner and 10 AI enemies. My 2 teamates combined only had 1 Runner and 5 AI enemies, and I thought they were better equipped for fights than me.
Honestly, I understand the purpose of extraction and single life (though I love you can be revived even when completed downed), but I wonder if it would be interesting to allow runners to respawn to try collect their stuff (kind of like a Souls game) and have the game perpetually allow players to keep playing until the end of state of exiting has been accomplished 3 times or something.
I dunno, I'd prefer that. lol

So if it is true, it has 50% of being Bloodborne and so it means FromSoftware is already working on it... but if so, why would Sony ask if Bluepoint could remake Bloodborne if FromSoftware was already doing it? It's confusing, unless the remake already being worked into was not Bloodborne, which we already know it was 1 of the 2 of them. |
There is absolutely no way a random Bluepoint employee would know that FromSoftware is working on a Bloodborne remake. Nor do we know if FromSoftware is working on one either.
Also, where does this remake info come from? detectiveseeds? I thought this guy was proven to be false with his claims.

A remaster makes the most amount of sense. That said, all this news makes me feel like I should just play BB as is now.

Looks like AI. More you look the more things look wrong

The first year of PS5 Pro was low-key a scam. Never has there been precedent for a Pro machine making so many games look worse. Especially not at a $700 premium. Unlike on PC there was no toggle to turn off PSSR support in cases where it simply didn't work and developers were not attentive enough to the matter.
Not sure whether Sonys data was used to inform FSR4, but it feels like Pro should have launched after it, not before. Existing PC users should of been the testing ground. None the less, glad we're finally here! And it's going to be a game changer.
Pro is going to be a very compelling device in the years to come and I think will really negate the need for a PS6 next year.
-Superior image quality from lower resolutions,
-Superior ray traycing
-Maintain 60fps

It doesn't need a remaster/remake. But it feels like a shame that the game is stuck at 30 fps/1080p.
I'd be happy just to have a genuine PS5 port with no load times.
