Played Marathon for a couple of hours yesterday. It's pretty good overall, but some changes I immediately thought of that they can make for the game's launch
-enable proximity chat by default
-LOWER AI ENEMY HEALTH!!!! (you barely ran into players during matches because they were already dead from the AI enemies. They're bullet sponges)
-lower damage from environmental hazards. I died a couple of times from toxic plants because how much damage they do and how quickly your health drains lol
-lower the cost of all items across the board. Basic things like shields and health cost wayyyy too much.
-TTK is too fast. The second you get shot in the back, 9/10 times you're dead.
-Active camo, smoke grenade, and shotgun is already the OP build. So i guess readjust weapons and abilities.
These are mainly things that can be adjusted in the short term. Hopefully even by launch.
In the long term, they really need to change the menus and UI. It's the most jarring UI i've experienced in a video game lol. The game oozes new age sci-fi style, but in doing so, they didn't really look to see how it felt. There's like 20 different style/sized fonts alone on top menus inside menus inside menus. Even the gear system is all over the place with too many slots and sub categories with additional slots.
If you're a new player, you WILL be very confused when you're going through the menus.
There's still a good amount of positives
-Game looks really good and is vibrant in color
-Rock solid performance with no performance dips, crashes, or noticeable bugs
-Sooooooo much lore to find in practically every corner of the game
-PVP fights feel really good! At least when you're able to find other players and you don't go against the OP build
-Sound design is BRILLIANT!
In the game's current state, I believe it's a 7/10 experience.

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind
